OK, so what can you learn about nebulas from the Bible? Or auroras? Or meteor showers? Or the planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune?) Or the dark spots on the Moon? Or sun spots? Or radiation? Or the chemical composition of the Sun?

I might ask you a question as follows: "What have scientists actually learned, of any real value that is, from studying these phenomenon?"

They certainly have nothing to do with day to day life, other than to look at once in a long while and say, "Oh, isn't that wierd."

So, I'd say a lot of benefits have been developed from people tyring to understand "what's out there" better.

The Bible is not concerned with an exhaustive study of history, whether cosmic or human.

Exactly! So why use it as your source for learning about and understanding such things?

Use the Bible to know God better and how to live your life. Event he Creation passages will take on a better meaning in this light!

Well, I certainly can't say that I agree with everything you said, curious, but I appreciate your lengthy response, nonetheless.

To begin your post, you made a comment suggesting that I believe in aliens, which isn't true. I would be lying if I didn't admit that I've thought about that type of thing from time to time, but I've never met one of them, you know, so I'm not going to concern myself with that type of area. To your credit, however, you did say this-

"But these fallen angels that we war against in this world are not ET's exra-terrestials or alien beings."

-so perhaps I had some misunderstanding w/ what you were saying out of the get go, I guess.

It wouldn't surprise me if some of this is the work of that Shepard's Chapel minister, Ronald Murray, this line of thought. And don't get me wrong when I say that-I don't mind him, enjoy watching his program from time to time, though I don't agree with everything he says. He's the only one I'm aware of that has ever covered these types of "Pre Bible" beliefs before. Perhaps there are other ministers that have done so, but he's the only one that I'm aware of personally.

When it comes to "Fallen angels," etc, beliefs involving angels that have been "Banned from the Heavens," the only way that I believe that could ever be possible is if they live their lives consciously knowing that they are satan's angels. That would, essentially, mean that we would have satanic angels walking among us today, with full knowledge who/what they are. ?!

If that wouldn't be the case, than it's not possible, in my opinion, that "they" could ever be "Banned" from Heaven. To believe that would mean that we'd be ignoring the wonderful message and promise with the life of Jesus Christ.

We know how much that Jesus loved His little children. He even used them as models for us to live by, saying that we needed to have a "Child like faith."

The older I get, the more I realize the meaning of this.

I know what you mean about having the childlike faith I am still being amazed myself as I grow older in this life and that I know nothing apart from Him. Even though I'm an adult in this life I'm still a little child in God's sight and I have my fears and so on that only my Father in heaven can comfort and console as He continues to lead, guide and teach me things throughout this life.

As far as the ministry of Shepherd's Chapel and the minister Ronald Murray is concerned unfortunately I am not aware of this ministry so I can't really comment on it.

I pray that you remain humble as a little child throughout all the days of your life

Sometimes when we can get ourselves confused over issues like this, it's always nice to know that we have Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John to go back to. Those chapters always have the ability to remind us of the roots. They're a little more simple, but undoubtedly they have so, so much meaning, that which can help us with many of these types of fears and concerns.

This is my own opinion due to a past experience. Last year around the middle of March I visibly saw a very strange looking thing happen. There was this aircraft, in daylight, just literally stopped in midflight approximately 50 feet above the freeway. I was looking around at other vehicles because this was so noticable that normally cars would have pulled over everywhere. Everyone was just driving normally, and nobody seemed to notice. Well, I just blew it off and said "that's the strangest thing I've ever seen".

Well within days of seeing this I went through a serious demonic experience. So my conclusion is that, if there is no worldly explanation whatsoever, it is very likely demons playing tricks. Maybe they are trying to fool your mind into thinking there is other universes with life etc... Which this type of thinking is wrong as far as God is concerned. So to anyone who ever experiences sightings etc... you need to seriously be saying your prayers, and ask through Lord Jesus for serious safety and protection over your life.

Hi, Tari. It sounds like you have a pretty good head on your shoulders. Jesus loves those that love Him. The Holy Spirit is there to protect us from whatever challenges we face in life if we have given our heart to Christ.

Based on your profile, it looks like you live in Arizona, too. The Southwest is famous for their military bases.

When that B-52/stealth thing came out, when the military began using them, think back about that. We were all like, "Wow! Man, look at that thing! That's unbelievable!"

What is easy to forget sometimes is that it obviously had to have taken them years to plan and implement the thing before it became part of the military's fleet-and the government can't be in the business of issuing press releases to the world stating that they're working on this or that contraception, you know?

So maybe you did see what you did, too, but that doesn't mean that it was a UFO. It was probably just the latest neat gadget the military is working on or something.

The thing to sort of remember is that for all of these UFO sightings through the years, they have all been second hand accounts. The pictures and videotapes are never fully verified, and none have ever destroyed a building or anything like that.

Bottomline I guess is that unless we ever see one of them land right on top of the house or something, I don't think we have to worry about a whole lot, kiddo~. You're just fine.

I'm away right now on my job so I'm catching up here as I've found a computer to use briefly. I want to thank you for your response to this thread and for sharing your experience. I just want to say that there are many things that we see or catch a glimpse of that we can't point to it and say this was this or this was that because we really can't identify what it was we thought we saw. That is what a UFO stands for a Unidentified Flying Object. This does not necessarrily have to be space alien aircraft to fit into the UFO class of objects.

You simple don't know what you saw you just are saying you witnessed something strange. This does not mean you are a kook. On my job I have to travel around airports and I've seen military aircraft the shape of triangles and let me tell you they move like lightening and when they turn on their sides you can barely see them and it looks like a straight black line at this time. So it wouldn't be strange or odd that it was military aircraft that you saw at all.

And the demonic attack you say you went through was probably just as you say the devil playing tricks on your mind trying to get you to believe a lie instead of believing in God's word because the devil likes to get us all caught up and living in fear because fear is the opposite of faith. It sounds like you have a pretty good head on your shoulders in recognizing the enemy's tactics. So keep on the helmet of salvation according to Ephesians 6 and the Lord will keep your mind from the enemy.

I think the universe is full of creatures, we don't understand or know about, we don't even know about all of the creatures on this planet yet. None of them have souls though if indeed they do exist, they are no different from a new mammal we may discover here. There are no human beings created in God's image outside of what He has shown us in His creation story in Genesis and throughout the Gospel.

But doesn't it seem kind of arrogant of us to think that of all the planets and all the solar systems in the universe, God chose just one to give life to?
