This video is a combination of two much longer rides I took last week on different days.

I wanted to give the experience of riding along with me. It's getting dark here before 5pm. Yesterday sunset was 4:48pm. So to set out at 2pm is sometimes pushing it to get back before dark. No worries. I have headlights :)

I didn’t plan to be riding in the dark for long, but so much for plans sometimes:)

I really want to be super fit. One younger guy at church has talked with me about riding. He has a high end mountain bike and is at least 30 years younger than me. We’ll see.JC is the nick name of my friend I rode with. He is very knowledgeable about local and even distant trails. He pretty much knows about and has ridden them all.

There was a railway where that trail is and some of the railroad relics have been preserved, like that rail car.  Just below this trail closer to the river there is a functioning set of rail tracks.

Hope you are well.

Tim, nice scenery as always.   I'm glad you are enjoying yourself.

When I tried to watch it on YouTube, there was only a black screen.    @ladypeartree  Can you try to watch it on YouTube and see if it's only a black screen for you?

I always give Tim a thumbs up on YouTube since that will help YouTube to promote his videos more.

Thanks for checking it out for me.   I just tried watching it on YouTube and it isn't a black screen now.    Maybe @Starise did something or maybe it was a glitch earlier for me.

If you watch on YouTube, it helps Starise to get more views so YouTube will promote his videos.

Happy New Year to all of you.

Yep I think YouTube seen from the message board counts as one IP address or one viewer looking multiple times. My numbers are all over the place.
Not that numbers mean a lot other than they boost my vids to other viewers. A lot of people need to see it in order for more people to see it? Kinda odd.
I plan a few more vids on more serious Christian subject matter on my other channel.
And since I can have multiple accounts I may start a music channel for musicians. I would put my work up in addition to others, but a new channel isn’t likely to generate much coverage, at least for awhile. I had a podcast called “Recording Hound” where I cut my teeth on some of that. I interviewed some big names and artists in the biz. That was not YouTube driven. Here’s my old logo. I still have a Facebook account for it.

Tim, one thing to keep in mind is how many subscribers you have.   If you have too many channels, it might dilute your number of subscribers.   But maybe you don't care about that?

Most people want alot of subscribers so YouTube will place ads on your channel and it generates some income.

Good point. Channels can be divided within one channel into sections. My thinking was that each channel would be dedicated to each subject. One channel, "The Beacon", I dedicated to theological and deep thought issues that hopefully people like to discuss, and some silly stuff too that ties into it. For instance I planned to put up a video up for post new year thoughts.

My other channel could be considered a channel for the things some people like to do, like biking, camping and motorcycle riding, hiking among other things. There is already some cross pollination though.

Then I planned a music space, The thing I learned from my podcast  was that it's mostly secular musicians who might have an interest in it if I offer to post their music of all types, which from a Christian standpoint could be a conflict of interest, and if I have an interest that is interested in me putting up their music who is told no when I put up other secular music, it won't bode well. I could just make it my personal music channel, I already have a music channel I never bothered to squeeze to it's full potential, A plan for 2025. It needs some serious house cleaning and connecting to other social media. I need to establish a tiktok, a reddit. and others. I sometimes post to facebook, but FB isn't really a niche place. . Putting video to my music would give it another dimension, if I can do it well. I always made music but never thought about selling any of it. I made an acoustic guitar album awhile back and got some money from it which surprised me. At that point I had never monetized YouTube for anything. YouTube generally amounts to pennies and most successful YouTubers are hawking something for someone.

And of course, if I monetize anything it should not be here. I only wanted to post to local friends here with no intention to piggy back this site, so I might be doing things you won't necessarily see here.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
