I only see God's beautiful creation at work.
A little update. Reality. Every minute, every second, there are trillions times billions times gazillions of some creature eating another creature on this planet.
Did you catch, kill, cook  what you ate for lunch, mm?.........default_cool2-Copy.gif.3b3888ca2d73a7e4aaf9606f659a0be9.gif

I understand. I just don't like to see an animal struggling and being torn apart. That is just me. Just like the animal that supplied that hamburger I am eating had to be slaughtered. That is why many become vegetarian. That is why my granddaughter became a vegetarian.

Just like the morbid curiosity I see in humans who are watching that car accident to see how much blood and guts they can see. I am sensitive to that and don't like to see it.

There's no sign of a struggle in the photo. Certainly no blood and guts.  And it's not a photo of commercially processed cattle.  It's a photo of a small part of the natural world, with a question attached.

I heard a deer hunter say to a woman who asked him, "What defensive weapon does that deer have against your rifle?"  The man replied, "Same one the cow's got."

Enjoy your burger.

Indeed. There was a reason why those ravens took a shine to us... I offered them the remains of deer mice I trapped in the house and the barn by the dozens. I would pile them up in one spot in the caliche, retreat to the porch, and watch while the ravens flew over and took turns acquiring their meals. They were well-mannered and courteous to each other. The biggest raven --- he was the talker --- would go first with his mate. Every now and then, I would toss a bull snake who died of old age out there for them to have. I was fascinated by how the ravens approached the dead snake... they were cautious, making sure it wasn't alive.

The ravens up there were very appreciative of our gifts and didn't forget the kindness. I figure that's why the talking raven liked to shadow me on the land.

Everyone has their own opinion, and a right to have their own opinion.

A lot of people believe everyone has a right to their opinion as long as it

agrees with their opinion.

I do not believe I have ever questioned your opinion, mm. I am the same way as you with my own opinions, but their just my opinions. Our opinions are likely to be at odds with others at times. That's cool. I was just trying to enlighten you to the reality of life/death on earth. You're a woman that has a lotta love for animals, I get it. As a man, I'm a hunter gatherer, instilled within me by God, my DNA. We guys have to do the man stuff.

I hunt and fish for food, and this week my wife and I ate some of her salt water trout and red fish she cooked that she  caught at the coast. I taught my daughters and son  at a very young age how to swim in the surf, catch their own baits, bait a hook, cast catch and land a fish, gut and gill it, scale and fillet them, and cook them. They were taught to become more self sufficient.

My oldest daughter had to teach her new husband how to do all those fishing talents for him when they went fishing. My first two dates with my wife were successful fishing trips. Our family has raised cattle and livestock, and ate them. No biggie.

Birds and animals adapt quickly when it come to food.

I shoot an average of between 1-2 hundred squirrels every year. They have invaded my shop and home. They got into our stored in the attic antique furniture chewing a hole to get inside then burrowed/destroyed into our mattresses to create a nest, where I found a bunch of young ones that scattered into my shop.

They can chew into a home attic and destroy the insulation and electrical wires. They also eat all the birdseed and mess up the feeders. I only shoot at those within the yard. I used to pile them on an old tree stump, and like your ravens, the buzzards, the Mexican eagle(falcon), and the Texas hawks  would come in for lunch. The hawk is the dominant eater chasing off the others, then the buzzards and falcon. It got to be the buzzards would roost in the trees waiting for lunch each day. Gruesome.

Yrs later  would put them behind the tractor shed when I saw a mom fox carrying her kits to a den nearby and squirrels would disappear quickly. The fox learned to get seed under the bird feeders. Raccoons raid at night so I have to trap them. So, many of the neighborhood birds and animals shy away now, but many others enjoy the extra food.

Thanks Marathoner...

Why do you think our opinions are not going to agree with others? My dad and brothers were hunters and they also went fishing. They also went bird hunting. I have been fishing with my dad and brothers. I don't eat fish any longer. I have tried venison several times and I don't like it. It tastes wild to me.

I grew up on a farm so I know a lot about animals. We have always had animals around. I have even been to a butcher shop with my dad and have seen the different ways that they kill and cut up the meat.

I guess I don't have the hunters mentality.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
