Shalom. 😊

Have you ever lived in a place with rooms and apartments, where a few of the neighbors are noisy, and especially during the night when you wanna sleep?

How do you deal with it, and do you have any advice how to deal with it in a way that is good for a true follower of The Lord?

Yes I have and do to this day have issues with noise. There simply is no escaping noise today. Start with that mindset and then work toward making your own familiar to you noise, call it white noise if you wish. Use it to drown out the disturbing noises.  Make  noise become a call to prayer too. Pray for the individuals creating the disturbing noises.

What not to do. Do not confront another tenant or neighbor directly, not in this day  of  crazies everywhere. Do notify management  and/or police for enforcement of noise ordinances, let them be the enforcers. But  there is little long term solution for there is noise absolutely everywhere  there are humans today; even at hospice bedrooms.

ps I have resorted to having one room  boarded up  like a tomb. That is not an option at most apartment set ups. I actually  have the windows there covered on the inside with thick plywood, and theater style drapes over that. It helps, but there is transmission of noise through attic venting

Dissimilar materials on surfaces helps some as that cuts through or stops vibrations from more easily  transmitting through surfaces- but that is a science and an expensive solution, not really  doable in an apartment.

It is simply tough today, and those Blackwater associated apartments being built most everywhere today are four story bags of splinters that jamb  people into small spaces that  really transmit noise. It is only going to get worse and worse for all.

And then there is the police station, the fire station, and the ambulance company facility, and two hospitals, that I  contend with daily. Oh, not to mention the police shooting range where the SWAT teams practice and have competitions. Talk about noise, tens of thousands of heavy ammo rounds going off  for hours on end many being fired all at the same time  when they have their exercises. Makes the city noise of the rice rockets screaming trough the gears at bar closing time around 3 AM seem a triffle.

With all that I get about 2 3/4 hours solid sleep each night. Then the birds start up in the predawn  if the party people have shut down. Crows and hawks and eagles and pigeons and even chickens since ordinances have changed and city people can have chickens. Plus there is the occasional parade of peacoocks, proud birds with an incredible scream capacity.

Did I mention the dogs?  How do people tolerate their own dogs barking  nervously non stop  for hours on end?

'Course I do enjoy the rumble of our old 46 chevy's 350 four bolt mount V8 power plant with it's powder coated headers and ....

Noise isn't so bad if it is one's own noise I guess.

White noise in your own space is the best way to drown out noise from outside.

I log in to YouTube and play rain, waterfall or stream sounds.

They run 10 hours, and many have "black screen", so there is no extraneous light.

My 'noisy neighbor' used to be buzzing in my ears. :)

On that note real waterfall decorator items  might be helpful. More and more places of business, offices, and waiting rooms are using them. Or even a sea water fish tank with it's water moving and aeration systems make a familiar  sound that  helps.

Wow! That's a great deal of noise around you there! I really have a long way to go yet, to deal with such noise, but I trust that The Lord will see me through, and you too.

Noise pollution can cause PTSD.  Just try to imagine war veterans who hear loud noises and panic.  It's very real.

What about driving in your car and feeling and hearing the boom boxes from the car next to you?  I used to pull up next to them, roll down my windows and blast opera music as loud as my speakers would go.   People who blast the rap usually can't wait to get away from that!

The best way to handle rude noise polluters in an apartment or neighborhood is 1) Ignore it and do nothing, or, 2) Call the police and let them handle it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
