There is a lot of confusion concerning when Satan was cast out of heaven down to earth, but the words of Jesus tells us exactly when this happened.  Also at this same time is when the spirit of antichrist was prophesied to come, as the spirit of antichrist is of the same spirit as that of the Devil, as the Devil/Satan is the father of this lying spirit called antichrist.

Jesus said in John 14:30 “Hereafter I will not talk much you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.” As the lie has no place in the Truth.  Notice Jesus said “Hereafter” meaning this event was soon to take place right after He said those words.  To prove this point, right before Jesus was to be crucified Jesus said in John 12:31 “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.”  And "now" means at that present time.

Satan/ the Devil/ the old serpent/ the Red Dragon are all speaking of the  same angel and the same spirit, which is also called the Prince of this world, or even “the god of this world” in scripture.(2 Cor.4:4) So to confirm the timing of what Jesus just said we need to go to Revelation chapter 12 where we see the red Dragon standing before the woman, ready to devour her child as soon as it was born.  So when did this happen?

This event happened when Herod had heard of the coming of the King of the Jews, and Herod inquired where this man child was to be born, and Herod sought to destroy the child as shown in Matthew 2:13-16.  In this you see how Satan, “the Prince of this world”, moves men by his spirit to do his will.  In this case it was Herod that was moved by the spirit of the Red Dragon to try to devour the man child as soon as he was born, as is shown in Revelation chapter 12.

This is important to understand, because it is the spirit of the prince of this world that moves people to do his will.  This is shown in the prophecy of Daniel with the coming of the prince of this world.  In Daniel 9:26 we are told “the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary”  Notice it says “the prince that shall come”.  Many believe this prince is speaking of the Roman commander Titus, but it is really speaking about the coming of the prince of this world, as Jesus said.

Notice in Daniel 9:26 it was “the people of” the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.  The “people of” the prince that shall come was the Roman army, Titus included.  But like with Herod, they too had the same “spirit of the Devil” working in them.  Notice what Jesus says here in John 8:44 “Ye are “of” your father the devil, and “the lusts of” your father you will do. So those who are “of” the spirit of the Devil will also “do” the lusts or desires of their father the Devil.

Jesus went to the cross to destroy the works of the Devil.(1 John 3:8)  This is why Jesus announced the judgment of the prince of this world at that time.  Jesus said in John 16:11 “Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged”  But Jesus also announced the judgment of this world at the same time when Jesus said “now is the judgment of this world, now shall the prince of this world be cast”.

The judgment of the world is connected to Satan being cast out of heaven and down to the earth.  Notice in Revelation 12:12 we see the heavens rejoicing, but we are told “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth.”  So a part of the judgment of the world was Satan being cast down to the earth.  Satan being cast down to earth is the first seal judgment seen in Revelation 6:2.  When the first seal was opened by the Lamb of God, John heard the sound of thunder.  Thunder is usually accompanied by Lighting.  Jesus said in Luke 10:18 “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven”

In Revelation 12 after the ascension of Jesus (the man child) we see the war in heaven and Satan is cast out with his angels down to earth. And we are told in verse 8 “neither was their place found any more in heaven.” In Revelation 12:4 we see the tail of the Red Dragon draw away a third part of the stars of heaven, the stars of heaven represent the angels of heaven who were deceived by the tail of the red dragon, which is the false prophet spirit, or aka the spirit of antichrist. The spirit of Satan drawing away a third part of the angels (stars) from heaven is also shown in Daniel 8:10.  The tail of the dragon that draws away the angels from heaven is the spirit of antichrist, which came at the same time when the Red Dragon was cast down to earth, as the tail is a part of, and is connected to the Red Dragon.

And John confirms the words of Jesus concerning when this spirit of the Devil would come, as John calls this spirit antichrist.  John said in 1 John 2:18 “ye have heard that antichrist shall come”  So where did they hear this from?  They heard it from Jesus, who said the prince of this world is coming.  Again in 1 John 4:3 John says “This is that spirit of antichrist,, whereof ye have heard that it should come.”  Again, they heard it from Jesus, that the prince of this world is coming.

And John confirms that this spirit of the Devil called antichrist, had already come in 1 John 4:3 when John said “even now already is it in the world.”

So John agrees with Jesus that the prince of this world and his spirit of antichrist had already come, and was already in the world when John said those words.

The presence of Satan and the spirit of antichrist can be seen in the world by all the evil and lies we see and hear in this world.  Just as God has One Spirit that works in many to make up the body of Christ, whose Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth.  Satan also has one spirit that works in many that make up the body of the beast, whose spirit is a lying spirit called antichrist.

Peace and God bless

The woe in Revelation 12:12, when Satan is cast out into the earth includes woe to all living creatures in the sea. So where is this woe to all living inhabiters of the sea prior to now? Only recently, are technologies/knowledge to mine the oceans, becoming available (from Satan), that will cause the damage to all inhabiters of the sea.

Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

What does the sea “represent” in scripture?  It represents many peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.

And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

I do not think that Revelation 12:12 saying woe to the inhabitants of both earth and sea, is being redundant, meaning all inhabitants of earth and the earth, as you suggest.

The sea and the waves will be roaring…

In Luke 21:25 Jesus told us of what would occur before the heaven and the earth would be shaken.

Jesus said in Luke 21:25 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; "the sea and the waves roaring;”

Jesus was not talking about a literal ocean here, but rather “a sea of humanity foaming out their own shame”in mocking’s, railings, confusion, and blasphemy.

This same sign is also shown in Jude 1:13 “Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame"; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.”

Jude describes them as those who "speak evil" of things they do not understand, as natural brute beasts.
As this is “the nature”of the beast!

These were even among the early disciples being spots in their feasts of charity, those whose fruit had withered, even without fruit.

Jude then refers to Enoch, and the Lords coming with his saints to execute judgment upon the “ungodly” among them.

Jude describes them as "ungodly sinners" with their "hard speeches". They are described as murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts, mouths speaking "great swelling words".

Jude goes on to say in Jude 1:17-19 “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;18 How that they told you there should be "mockers" in the last time, who should walk after their own "ungodly lusts".19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.”

We are told in 2 Peter 3:3 “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,”

And also in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

Many of these traits are also being manifest and displayed openly in those who "call themselves" Christians; so we know the time drawing near.

This sea of "iniquity" is like the "RED sea of Sin," the sea of humanity which the Lord will also divide and conquer.

Job 26:12 “He "divideth the sea" with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through "the proud.”

Psalm 74:13 “Thou didst "divide the sea" by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of "the dragons" in the waters.”

Psalm 136:13 “To him which "divided the Red sea" into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever:”

Jesus said every kingdom "divided"against itself is brought to desolation!

Isaiah 51:15 “But I am the Lord thy God, that "divided the sea, whose "waves roared": The Lord of hosts is his name.”

Jeremiah 31:35 “Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which "divideth the sea when "the waves thereof roar;" The Lord of hosts is his name:”

Isaiah 57:20 “But the "wicked are like the troubled sea", when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.”

It is a “mighty wind”that causes the waters to be tossed to and fro....

Ephesians 4:14 “That we henceforth be no more children, "tossed to and fro", and carried about with every "wind of doctrine" by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”

2 Peter 2:17 “These are wells without water, clouds that are "carried with a tempest;”to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.”

Many of the end time signs are being revealed in this wicked generation; so be sober minded and watch!

"And I saw a new heaven and new earth: for the first heaven and first earth were past away; and there was "no more sea."

Peace and God bless

The sea in scripture represents the Gentile nations, wherein the spirit of the Devil/Satan/ Dragon/ Leviathan resides and plays.

Psalm 104:24-26

King James Version

24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships: “there is that leviathan,” whom thou hast made to play therein.”

Leviathan is the Red Dragon that rises up out of “the Sea.”

In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in “the sea.”

All 4 beasts/kingdoms were to rise out of the sea=the Gentile nations

And four great beasts came up from “the sea,”diverse one from another.

The Red Dragon/Leviathan rises out of the sea/nations

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw “a beast rise up out of the sea,”having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

What a great question! And one I have never studied.

I guess the way I would approach this question is to ask when was the first time we find Satan in the Bible. Of course, that would be in Genesis in the Garden.

So, there is nothing that is in the Scriptures that tell us he sinned BEFORE the earth and everything was created, so this is a good start.

Personally, I believe Satan had a real problem only when God created Adam and breathed His Holy Spirit into Adam. Now, Adam has God’s holiness or righteousness within him. This holiness or righteousness WAS NOT FOUND IN LUCIFER even though he was the most glorious angel that God created.

But regardless how great he was made, he could NEVER have within him ANY righteousness or holiness. The ONLY place one can find holiness or righteousness is WITHIN GOD. And He is the only one that can give it anyway.

Thus, this was clearly unacceptable to Lucifer… this human being made out of the dirt of the earth has been now made into a living soul with the holiness of God within him.

Lucifer could not accept this and since he had not sinned prior to God’s creation, he would go and be wherever he chose. Since heaven was the only place to “be” prior to the “creation,” he would have been found in heaven.

But after he deceived Adam and caused the fall of God’s holy people (Adam) he would no longer be allowed in heaven. Sin, whether from man or angels can not be in the presence of sin, thus he would be restricted from being in heaven from that time on.

Adam would immediately be moved out of the Garden and I think Lucifer would also be immediately removed from heaven.

Also, both Adam and Lucifer would now die, but neither immediately. Prior to the fall, neither would have died.

But God would immediately put into place a plan of salvation for man. But no such provision for Satan.

Now, both must wander the world outside of the Garden or heaven until the end of time when Satan will be destroyed and man will either return to be with God or destroyed depending on his acceptance of Jesus.

Look forward to anyone’s thoughts…. Charlie

1 Cor 6

3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

This may have been Satan's tipping point. Now I know this was written long after man was in the garden, may have been known in Heaven while man was in the garden

Job 1

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”

So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

Satan the accuser was able to accuse us before the Lord of all our wrong doings, but since the cross he can no loner accuse us, Price has been paid in full. Our sins have been blotted out, there is nothing left for him to bring before the Lord, we are cleansed, we are a new creation. It was finished at the cross

Correct me if I am wrong, but this might confirm that satan was indeed walking to and from on the earth… he has been restricted from heaven.

Do you agree?
