Chernobyl is Wormwood

In the Ukrainian language the word CHERNOBYL is literally translated into English as WORMWOOD.

Both terms refer to the poisonous effects of some sort of calamity upon the earth.

When the nuclear facility at Chernobyl exploded, radioactive components were lifted into the stratosphere and were blown across the planet.  They eventually fell to earth to contaminate the land, its people, its crops and its animals.  No one knows the full extent of the effects of the Chernobyl accident.

Revelation 8:10-11 describes "a great star blazing like a torch" which causes many people to die.  The scripture says that a third of the waters of the earth were poisoned.   This estimate may be a bit conservative since the radioactive fallout of the Chernobyl accident affected the entire northern hemisphere of our planet.  No one can say with certainty how much or little of the waters and people were actually affected.  That most were indeed affected cannot be argued against.

 the flash of the bomb was many times brighter than the sun - Enrico Fermi, nuclear physicist who witnessed the first atomic explosion

Scripture describes Wormwood as a mighty star that fell to earth and poisoned its waters and people.  There is no better description of nuclear fire than this quote from the Bible.  

Those that accept Biblical predictions as evidence of the times in which we live cannot do otherwise than to rededicate themselves unto the service of God in Christ Jesus.  Those that don't believe these things are true will continue to delude themselves into believing they've got plenty of time before God's return to earth.

Indeed judgment has already begun.....and that is the whole point of this post.  Chernobyl is evidence of it.

It has long been established that strontium 90, which is a radioactive component of nuclear explosions, has a chemical affinity with calcium. Strontium 90 tends to bond with calcium.   It becomes part of cows milk and since the mid 1950's has been suspected as being a cause of breast cancer in humans.  The half life of strontium 90 is 50,000 years.  The poisons that fall upon the earth from this isotope of nuclear reactions does not 'go away'.

My thoughts are the trumpets always start first, then the vial, last the seals reading in this manner gives better understanding. The order of events as you see become clearer. But you also have the 1,2 before 3. The rivers are also messed up.

No, its the FALL OUT from an Asteroid, just like the fall out from a Nuclear weapon, but who knows what it is that poisons the fresh waters in 1/3 of the world (North and South America = 1/3 of the worlds landmass). They say sulfur poisoned everything after the asteroid that killed of the Dinos about 70 million years ago. It could be some type Nuclear fallout from a metal we have never even heard of yet etc. etc. 

Trump #1 Fire comes first because before the impact in the sea this asteroid is disintegrating thus fire falls and sparks fires where ever it crosses. 

Trump #2 is the IMPACT that seems like a huge EARTHQUAKE worldwide.

Trump #4 is the Sun and Moon going dark, plus the moon looks like it is blood red from all the fires, it has a red hue to it as Joel 2:31 describes. Once all the smoke gets In the jet stream it will blot out or diminish the sun world wide by 1/3.

Egypt is going to get a big one sent its way. From what I've read, no one will be able to set foot in Egypt for 40 years.

The Greek word for "Wormwood" is "Apsinthos." It's the word from which we get "absinthe," a strong, green liquor. I don't know its status now, but at one time it was outlawed in the USA because it was so poisonous in high concentrations.

This meteorite won't just smack into the earth, as others do. It will be like a sputtering torch (Greek: kaiomenos hoos lampas = "sputtering like a-torch"), falling upon the rivers and springs by dropping its chemical composition along its path and poisoning the fresh water sources wherever it passes over. To "make the waters bitter" = to "poison the waters."

I genuinely believe we live in the tail end of the church age, and the Tribulation will begin in this generation. I will stick my neck out to be chopped off and offer some speculation with that conviction in mind.

Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

To paraphrase this verse to my way of thinking: There is coming a time when the anticipation of something dreadful is approaching, and we will have advanced notice seeing it coming.

Heaven is above the earth, so it most likely comes from the second heaven or outer space in our terminology. This warning may be a single event or multiple events. What event(s) could occur where the earth has an advanced notice from above? Causing men’s hearts to fail them for fear of what is coming upon the earth (dread, panic, chaos, hopelessness).

It appears to be a global event(s) and a catastrophe that is being tracked and has never before been witnessed in advance by humanity, and we will see it coming.

I submit a good candidate for this is the biblical Wormwood, an asteroid. There is a lot of hoopla and speculation about an asteroid named APOPHIS and its potential.

I will not go into all the fascinating particulars about what makes this asteroid a candidate for Wormwood. If you are interested in this space rock's details and potential, Prophecy Watchers on YouTube has a few fascinating videos. Unfortunately, this is not a Chicken Little fairy tale about the sky falling.

Official NASA calculations (or fabrication to prevent global panic & chaos) are modeled to pass so close to Earth that Apophis will take out some satellites in 2029, which will be seen in 2025 by backyard telescopes.
