They convinced him to drive off a cliff

My friend’s son Theo has been worshiping Satan for several years though my friend begged her son repeatedly to stop. He became abusive verbally to her. Her other children stopped speaking to her because she wouldn’t give him up. 
3 weeks ago, Theo heard the demons tell him to give his soul to Satan - he drove his vehicle over a cliff. Now he has a metal rod from his hip to his ankle and will have his right arm amputated this week. 
my friend is in crisis mode - almost broken but holding herself together. She reaches out to me for prayer and advice.

I may need some advice as well, so I’m going to describe what I have done for her so far. Anyone that might have some wisdom to add, please do so. 
 

I sent her a prayer meant to deliver Theo from demonic oppression and cleanse him of his choices and sins that have given Satan rights to him. I also prayed for God to fill Theo’s emptiness - to send angels and Christians across his path - into his life - that Theo would soon make the statement, “Jesus is the Love of my life!”

Praying.... to just add one tiny thing. In the word OT says who ever calls on the name of the lord shall be delivered. "And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Even a song says if you don't know what to say.. just says JESUS! I had a dream not to long ago. All that was said was "you don't invoke the name of Jesus enough". When you speak His word...your speaking words of life and remember there is no time and space where you are and where they are. One can take the authority/power given to them by Christ Jesus over those spirits..they have to leave.. at that name above every name! JESUS! Praying

In the end, this comes down to wills. Yes, we may pray against the evil forces that Theo has called into his life.

Ultimately though, it's up to Theo. If Theo decides to seek God instead of Satan, nothing the other side attempts will be effective against a saved man seeking God so far as his eternal soul is concerned. Though this is a theological point sometimes argued it's God that calls us. It's up to us to answer. 

I thought the prayer was an excellent prayer. I felt something a little off in my spirit when I read both the counseling and the "deliverance ministry" info. I'm not sure what other alternatives exist there. If it were me I would be more prone to pray and ask God's direction in sending help to Theo if he truly wants it. I believe the Lord has placed you there to help. He can also call others into the circle of help. Pray the blinders on Theos eyes will be lifted, that he will see the reality of what he is involved in, that he will see the future results of his present activities.

The fact that he is still alive means the Lord allowed him to live. If it had been up to the demons he would be dead. This is significant. God is giving him another chance.

This is a serious and painful problem, and I'm not qualified to give any advice. I wouldn't know if it was a treatable medical condition, a spiritual condition or both? Has anyone tried to talk with Theo face-to-face and present the loving Gospel of Christ in love? 

Do you know of or can find out if; a trained and experienced Gospel preaching Bible believing pastor in your area, would be willing to go and talk to this young man about his soul and the present and eternal danger he is facing? What our Lord Jesus did for this young man personally.

Like mentioned above in this thread, Theo has to use his free will and listen to the Gospel and pastoral council, and make his eternal decision to accept or reject the One who can save him. 

The secular and medical world uses drugs to treat and control symptoms, and seldom addresses the root cause and heal it. Our Lord is the Master Physician and He can heal anything.

hello melodyfire right now i am reading some books by Neil T Anderson ; Victory over the Darkness and The Bondage Breaker. these books are both on the subject of spiritual warfare the Victory over the Darkness is helpful regarding who our identity in Christ is and the second book takes you though some steps to be delivered from satanic influences.
