In the Pentecostal movement before the mid 1980s, the power of the Holy Spirit was in the region of healing and casting out of demons.  We were told that just because one had a contrary mother-in-law it didn't mean that she was possessed with a demon!

Blessings to you

    Oh how I long for a local gathering place of the Body of Christ .....I was so Blessed to have known this for many many years under the leadership of a Godly man with Christ our Head......we witnessed many a Healing,Deliverance,Prophesying and all the Gift of Holy Spirit being poured out in that place.(Pentacostal btw)..I miss it all very much

    We lost our Bishop(the Godly leader I mentioned) & his wife in a horrific car accident.... We carried in with the Ministry for some time but slowly but surely we began to fall to pieces..One by one we left the little local church,the Members of the Body scattered and many of us realized that perhaps we  were looking to a "man",depending & relying on our wonderful Bishop a bit too much-maybe that is why he was taken from us?

   Anyway,I wandered from place to place for a very long time after that,I saw little signs & wonders,if none at all    I did learn there is much more than signs & wonders for the mature Born Again Believer & I learned that Holy Spirit Does not flow freely where He is not wanted.....the flesh can greatly hinder Power of Holy Spirit and that is a sad thing-especially in a room full of Believers

   Well,you just made me think of the time I knew what it was to pray in "one accord",to walk into a building at 9am & when we left we were all astonished when someone said"Hey,it 3pm!"   No one was jerking,twitching.screaming jibber jabber,no mass hysteria  or rolling down the aisles-there was a small plaque on a wall that said"the Lord is NEVER out of order"   Where Oh were can I find my Brothers & Sisters under one little roof?

Thomas himself received Holy Spirit baptism and spoke in tongues.

Prophecy will pass away in new Jerusalem under new heaven and new earth so while you are still living on this bloody stained earth do not harden ur heart like the Hebrew did on the desert.

In the early church, the signs and wonders followed the preaching of the Gospel to prove that Jesus is alive and the Gospel is true.  The outcome was that the Roman Empire was turned upside down and became Christianized.

These days, the Gospel is being preached rarely in our Christian "clubs", and when it is preached all that is offered is words without the signs and wonders, and so less than 1 percent of those who hear the Gospel come to Christ, and instead of our communities become Christianized, they become more neo-pagan.   Rejecting the signs and wonders as integral to the preaching of the Gospel is like taking the tools away from the mechanic and still expecting him to fix our motor vehicles.

By their fruits we shall know them.  The fruit of the early Church preaching of the Gospel was the Christianizing of society.   The fruit coming out of our Christian "temples" and "clubs" is the paganizing of our society.

After I was born from above I realized I did not need sensual proof ... God's Word was sufficient in all areas of Spirit filled walk....

All the time society is paganised and established order is turned upside down by the BLM movement, increase of Islam, school shootings, church buildings turned into furniture warehouses, banning prayer in schools, yet allowing the teaching of islam, and politicians declaring that "we are no longer a Christian society".   That is the fruit of our modern-day chin-music based preaching of a gospel that is nothing like what the Apostles preached.

Years ago when I lived in the middle of nowhere, I asked this very thing of the Lord. Is there no one else called by Your name, Lord? Where are they, so I might embrace my brothers and sisters?

It was a dark time in that place in the middle of nowhere. I carried out His will in caring for one He loved, but the Lord inclines His ear toward me and so He answered my cry.

In the closest town, I would search for a congregation off the beaten path: their careworn sign would be obscured from view. This is where I would find others called by His name.

The next day I set out for that town (13 miles down the closest highway) and once I arrived, I proceeded very slowly down the main drag. It was a three-traffic signal town of 1,000 so I didn't have far to go. Once I reached the end of town, I turned around so I might search for the careworn sign... and approaching from the opposite direction I spotted it! It was obscured from view by an overgrown tree, making it virtually impossible to spot coming from the east.

I turned on that road and that was when I came upon the tiny congregation's tiny and nondescript building. 13 people gathered within; 13 precious souls who embraced me and I, in turn, embraced them.

Look off the beaten path. :)

In our Pentecostal church where everybody can pray in tongues we ALSO in addition operate the three voice gifts of the Holy Spirit at our meetings.

One will speak in an unknown tongue and this is followed by the gift of interpretation. This will be done decently and in order up to three times.

Afterwards there will be up to three gifts of prophecy or inspired speaking.

This is all laid out in 1Corinthians 14:

God speaking to his adopted children through His Holy Spirit.

Awesome.

1Thess 5:16  Rejoice always;
17  pray without ceasing;
18  in everything give thanks: for this is God’s will in Christ Jesus toward you.
19  Quench not the Spirit;
20  despise not prophesyings;

1Cor 14:39  So then, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
40  But let all things be done decently and in order.

Holy Spirit downpour on Pentecost day is not a sensual fulfillment as you repeteadly insisted, because Holy Spirit duty is to build up the church with 9 Gifts of Holy Spirit, God is still speaking in our church thru Xenolalia to rebuke and rebuild the sheeps.

Its not not not easy to rcv Holy Spirit baptism it took a long time trial n prayer to overcome dignity and flesh, not like those jumping mumbo jumbo practitioner did.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
