Jesus is on the outside trying to get in.

Is He knocking on the door of a movie theater?

Is He knocking on the door of an abortion factory?

Is He knocking on the door of a bar?

Is He knocking on the door of a pool hall?

Is He knocking on the door of  a strip club?

Is He knocking on the door of a school house?

Is He knocking on the door of a gambling joint?

Is He knocking on the door of Congress?

Is He knocking on the door of any Hellywood god?

What door is He knocking on? What is He trying to get into?

I are befuddled between confusion and stupid pit. Help me out please.

You need to read the whole chapter to understand, just quoting one verse always leads to missunderstanding.

In v 14 a letter to Laodicer is started, they are lukewarm in there faith, Jesus is knocking on their door to come in and restore their faith.

These letters are addressed to churches.  Many churches are luke warm.  They are not on fire for God.  They aren't atheistic and opposed to God.  They are sort of happy with a Sunday ritual and go through the motions.  "They honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me" is the verse that comes to mind.

So Christ has been kicked out of the church.  They no longer trust in Him or trust in His word.  They may even do good works like helping people displaced by natural disasters.  But He stands at the door of the church knocking to come back in.  This verse has also been applied to individuals, since we as individuals make up the church, and revival begins with a single person.

2Ti 3:1  But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.  2Ti 3:2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 2Ti 3:3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 2Ti 3:4  treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,  2Ti 3:5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

The power being spoken of here is the power to do God's will as given by the Holy Spirit.  These so called Christians deny the work of the Holy Spirit, so they have in effect kicked God out of the church.  He comes first to convict of sin, righteousness and judgement.  He calls people to return to Him in repentance of sin and turning to Christ for forgiveness.   He draws us to read and apply the Scriptures, enabling us to understand them.  Genuine Christians love and trust in God's word.  They Have Christ residing in them.

2Ch 7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Jesus doesn't 'try' to do anything.   What is written, what Yahweh His Father tells Jesus to DO, Jesus DOES.

He tells us to DO the same.  Always DO what the Father in Heaven Says DO.

Keith Green – Asleep In The Light Lyrics

Do you see, do you see
All the people sinking down
Don't you care, don't you care
Are you gonna let them drown

How can you be do numb
Not to care if they come
You close your eyes
And pretend the job's done

"oh bless me lore, bless me lord"
You know it's all I ever hear
No one aches, no one hurts
No one even sheds one tear

But he cries, he weeps, he bleeds
And he cares for you needs
And you just lay back
And keep soaking it in
Oh can't you see it's such a sin

'cause he brings people to you door
And you turn them away
As you smile and say
"god bless you, be at peace"
And all heaven just weeps
'cause jesus came to you door
You've left him out on the streets

Open up open up
And give yourself away
You see the need, you hear the cries
So how can you delay

God's calling and you're the one
But like jonah you run
He's told you to speak
But you keep holding it in
Of can't you see it's such a sin

The world is sleeping in the dark
That the church just can't fight
'cause it's asleep in the light
How can you be so dead
When you've been so well fed
Jesus rose from the grave
And you, you can't even get out of bed

Oh, jesus rose from the dead
Come on get out of your bed

How can you be so numb
Not to care if they come
You close your eyes
And pretend the job's done
You close your eyes
And pretend the job's done

Don't close your eyes
Don't pretend the jobs done
"come away, come away, come away with me my love
Come away, come away, come away with me my love"

I want to add that not all congregations have removed the person and work of the Holy Spirit even within a denomination that had taken ungodly unscriptural positions.  We can't be bigoted toward churches but each will be judged by God individually.  And all are invited to return to God--all people and all congregations.   We need to pray for them and never condemn.

Revelation 3:20 Is an invitation and a promise. This means that we need to take Christ's warning and gracious invitation seriously. No one is saved against his will. It is true of the human heart. No one is compelled to obedience who wants to be rebellious.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
