This country will not be destroyed due to us protecting ourselves and terrorists are going to hit us one way or the other no matter what we do.

Should we just wait for it or try to stop it?

If you knew that someone was preparing to hurt someone in your family (which wouldv'e happened if they were in the WTC), would you do nothing or try to stop it?

Hoping this problem will go away by itself hasn't worked has it?

As our troops are scattered overseas and around the world, wouldn't this be a fine time for Russia, China, etc. to invade the U.S. ? Carter was kind enough to give away our Panama Canal, where the Chinese have supposedly been sending troops/equipment for some time now. Why? How could the U.S. defend an attack of nuclear warheads launched from submarines off our coast? We have no missile defense system.

No matter what, I would keep some survival supplies on hand and be ready to "hit the woods". And don't get stuck in the city.  :uhh:  :t3:

What on earth are you talking about, bro Biscuit? Of course we have a missile defense system or we would've been toast a long time ago!

Where on earth did you hear such a thing? Uh, yeah..we DO have a missile defense system...in fact, I was stationed at one of those missile defense bases some years back...

It's called "Vandenberg Air Force Base" in California, off the coast of Santa Maria...and that base is 250 square miles along the coast of California...I saw more missile silos than I can possibly count...some readied to be shooting out nuclear weapons and some of the "Star Wars" variety

I once heard that Adolf Hitler said something to the effect that if you say a lie  loud enough and long enough,  people will begin to believe it.

Classic example: You only use about 1/10th of your brain. False...I saw on the Discovery Channel that this is an outright myth...you actually use 100% of your brain, not 10%...

But how often have we heard this lie? Well, same with other progaganda..we hear it loud enough, often enough we begin to believe it...amen?

No...we do not lack a missile defense system or we'd be in deep, deep trouble...Whoever told you we lack a missile defense system doesn't have any idea what they're talking about.... :lightbulb:

Certainly, in the history of the United States, no president has pursued a war the way Bush is.

You're right. Clinton didn't even BOTHER to ask the UN; he just started dropping bombs. Hey, anything to take attention off of that stained dress, right? He started bombing on the same day. THIS President jumped through all the hoops, did all the diplomacy stuff, deferred to the UN......what else should America do? Beg? Oh, wait - here's a great idea I've heard from the peaceniks - GIVE IRAQ MORE TIME!! Which resolution do you think Iraq will comply with? The 24th? How about the 32nd? GMAB.

Jimmy Carter? You're kidding..............right?

Hello everyone. I think that a vast majority of the 'anti-war' protests and posturing is due to the administrations handling of the situation. The Bush administration has thumbed its nose at the rest of the world since day one. They've backed out of long standing international treaties. They've backed out of diplomatic efforts in the Middle East, and with North Korea. Over-subsidizing steelworkers and textile owners hasn't helped either. Does anyone remember  the last time Dick Cheney visited a foreign country? During the Enron thing?

The situation with Iraq is no different if not worse. We bully or bribe other countries to go along with us, and make no effort to hide the fact that we're doing it. In Bush's September speech to the UN security council called for enforcement of UN resolutions in Iraq, and to try inspections one last time. The problem with these statements is that Cheney and Rumsfeld had called inspections a sham no more that a few days prior. Then the administration diplomatically announces it will watch these inspections in good faith, then within days begins a military build-up on Iraq's border.

This is why all the anti-war protests are going on(IMO). The world questions our intentions, and with good reason. We've gone away from a posture of consultation and cooperation under Bush Senior and Clinton, to an aggressive, 'go it alone', "with us or against us" posture.

Isn't our main missile defense system basically the threat of 'return fire'? If you bomb us, we'll bomb you, sort of thing? I thought that's why Reagan wanted 'Star Wars', because that 'threat of return fire' only works against other 'states' and not individuals or organizations. Maybe we're talking about two different things.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
