I would argue that the channels you've mentioned are biased towards a worldview. In MSNBC's case it would be Leftist, Communist, Socialist.

As I've clearly stated, Al Jazeera is slanted toward the Political ideology of the Wahabbist which is Islamic domination of the world. Mere hatred and pure evil. The subjecation of women and death to anyone who opposes it's format. To include other Faiths, Homosexuals, and atheist's. If you desire to support that you go right ahead. As for me and my house, We will Serve the Lord.

Please explain scripturally how God desires for us to fill our heads and hearts with anything that opposes His Word because Al Jazeera stands in stark contrast to God's desire for Israel both as a Nation(a light to the world) and as a people.

Political ideology is just part of one's world view, so all the news agencies are biased towards a worldview.

Al Jazeera is a news source just like the one's I have mentioned.  reading their site is no more and no less sinful than reading MSNBC or FoxNews or even the Christian favorite of WND.

The top story for them today is the possible use of chemical weapons in Syria.

They have a great story about the Xilai trial going on in China, something that is hard to find out much about from the US media

They also have a story about the NSA wiretapping that reads like it was written by FoxNews.

and finally there is an OpEd piece about cities subsidizing sports teams and whether they gain from it, tied into Detroit and the Red Wings.

I realize that for many people all they want is one side of every story, the side they agree with, which is why FoxNews is so popular.  But I like to get all side of the story.

Proverbs 18:17 tells us "The first to plead his case seems right, Until another comes and examines him."

sadly, fear of what they might find keeps too many people from looking at all sides.

The Word also tells us;

Jas 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Watch what you want.

I agree that your worldview will dictate what you trend towards.

What's your worldview?

Mine is Judeo/Christianity. Since I know that this is the Truth I don't need to learn from others. If you want to examine it I don't see a problem with it. However, offering it as an alternative and equivocating is blindly insane.

Well that did not take long at all, the last refuge for the insecure....question the faith of those who dare to think differently.

My worldview is the same as yours...but I realize the Bible does not contain information about current events in the world. Thus if I wish to know what is happening in the world I will need to turn to other resources.

My faith is not so weak that I am forced to rely on the sheep food given out by many news outlets, I can read all sides of the story and use them to try and filter out what is really going on.

I realize not everyone is in the same place in the strength of their faith so I do understand why some would fear this sort of thing

JD, sadly, you are one of the few people on this planet who think critically, evaluate, and learn. Most people soak in whatever subtle propganda is fed to them. that is the concern.

And that gives people to question my worldview???

I am sick and tired of having my faith questioned because I think differently.

I didn't question your Faith. I'm asking what your worldview is. You're the one who appears to be defensive.

I would also like for you to explain to me how it is Biblical with scriptural support to feed yourself falsehoods.

Care to comment on the link George provided?

At the end of last year I was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol. The Doctor told me that I needed to eat more natural foods and fruit and nuts. I was to cut out red meat and eat more fish. I was also to lay off the salt. I was feeling terrible for the first time in my life. I had gotten off track wasn't eating right and wasn't exercising.

However, I listened to what the Doctor said. I cut out red meat, I cut out salt, and caffeine, and I have been eating more natural foods while exercising regularly, I feel Great again, but according to you the Doctor was all wrong. I should just eat what I feel like and cut out all the exercise because I will likely die anyway.

Is that true?

P.S. No one has questioned your Faith what has been asked is what your worldview is. Mine is Judeo/Christian and lines up with what God's revealed will is for Israel.

All sources of news offer falsehoods in one manner or another. Knowing this gives us 3 choices...

We can ignore them all and be ignorant to what is happening in the world

We can just choose those sources that feed us what we want to hear

Or we can go to various sources from all perspectives and try and glean the truth.

To me one and two are unacceptable, which only leaves 3.

Based on your post on this forum you have chosen 2.

To stick with your analogy you would have ignored all the doctors but the one that told you what you already believed to be true.

P.S. Yes you did, you just choose to do it in a cowardly passive aggressive manner

I do not see that as a Christian favorite. Many folks here may like it. I do not though. But in no way is that site a favorite among the Christians I know outside of worthy.

Is it good when they air video's of supposedly Israeli air raid injured Palestinians who only moments later jump off of a gurney and go running through the street's?

All news sources play such games and you have to take this into account when watching, listening or reading any source.

All new sources do not play such games, as you put it.   There have been numerous cases of false reporting by Arabic news organizations like Al Jazeera.   While most European news organizations are not fair to Israel, Arab news organizations take the cake when it comes to dishonesty in news reporting.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
