Without going into details for the past 7 years it seems I have had a number of sit backs and stressful issues happen to my life. I understand that nobody's life is perfect. That everyone at some point in their life will face bad times and pain. But I feel that what I have had to deal with over the past several years has been way too much. I seek God. I read his word and pray. I try to live a life that is pleasing to him. I ask him what it is he wants me to do. I have a strong desire to help others in need. This strong urging to show Christ to others by way of showing his love for them. By helping them however I can and through my help they see Christ because that is what Christ did and that is what he teaches us to do as his followers. To love and help our follow man. To me that is what it means to call myself a Christian. But how can I help others when I can not help myself? Why do I keep getting hit with so many life issues that it makes me want to just lay down and die? Am I Job? I feel like Job. What is it that God it trying to tell me? What does he want me to do?

EVERYBODY has life issues. Only a few people admit it that they do. Just because we believe in Jesus Christ, it doesn't mean that our life is going to be a bowl of cherries.

You can either lay down and die or you can fight on one day at a time. Today is Saturday. Tomorrow is Sunday, etc.

Good Luck.

The Lord had to sacrifice Himself to help us ... so we have to sacrifice ourselves to help others.

Remembering always until we were given new born essence of God all we could offer was that

which equated to dung! But now we can offer up Spiritual Sacrifices acceptable to A Holy and

Righteous God a reality when fully viewed - this body and things of this world will not be considered

loss in death but release to fully come into His Presence of eternal gain!  Love, Steven

Welcome to life as a human being.

Not to be hard on you, but you must realize there is 'no temptation befallen you but that which is common to man.'  Of course it is human nature to feel our sufferings are worse than everybody elses.  As Dale Carnegie pointed out in his classic "HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE:"  'My tooth ache matters to ME more than all the starving millions in China....."

And since you bring up Job, God never actually answers Job's question of 'why' he suffered so much.  God's (to human ears) very unsatisfactory answer was "I'M GOD.  I KNOW MORE THAN YOU."  Evidently our whole duty is to try our best to keep trusting him, even as it seems the whole world is caving in on top of us.

The Lord strengthen you in the inner man. +

Remember God, never answer Job's question, but we see that God was not ashamed to be called his God (Job 1:8; 2:3).  We as believers are called to be purified by our trials and I really think there are times when satan challenges God over the believer's faith and God allow us to go though trials:

6)  Wherein ye greatly rejoice though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptation:

7)  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

I Peter 1:6-7

LadyKay, I know it doesn't help a whole lot, but right now your adversary the devil is seeking to devour you (I Peter 5:8-9), because IMO God is bragging on your faith in Him, for God is not ashamed to be called your God, as He prepares you for a better country.

But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city.

Hebrews 11:16

I know with myself when I get discouraged with my situations, sometimes i lose focus and see things distorted as to why things are happening and I want someone to tell me if I am not seeing things clearly.  If your having alot of conflict in so many areas of your life don't beat yourself up. Just work on yourself...let God grow your faith. We walk by faith not by sight. Focus on God and let Him change you. Be thankful of what you have and by doing this, thanksgiving opens up creativity which contains the plan for your way out. Think about things like what is your long term vision, where you want to go in life?

Matt 5:8 blessed are the pure in heart. Which means pure beliefs in their heart in how God is, they are able to see where God is at when we have troubles in life. When you get your heart and mind turned right, then God isnt holding anything from us. Things are happening in the unseen world. We trust God from our heart. You will see more of God's hand at work. I feel maybe alot of it is perception that God has awaken in you.

I just want to add my agreement here cause this is what helps me the most when I face unexpected challenges or heartache. I don't like to ask why these things happen because for me that seems to leave a gap in my armor for the adversary to exploit. God is helping me grow in my faith and trust because I used to get crushed by worry over the things I couldn't control. What I was actually doing was trying to live not one day at a time but take on the possible worst case scenarios for the foreseeable future all at once by my worry. I still struggle but it has gotten a lot better since I do what Bopeep shares and remind myself constantly of what our Lord tells us in Matthew 6...

Mat 6:31 NKJV - "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
Mat 6:32 NKJV - "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Mat 6:33 NKJV - "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Mat 6:34 NKJV - "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day [is] its own trouble.

I don't know if you struggle in this area but I just wanted to share this with you since it is what helps me the most when I feel the way your post describes. God bless you sister. Will be praying for you.

Thank you for sharing, it can be hard to express these types of things.

My family has been going through a similar period of hard times for about the last 5 years and it is hard at times to keep your head up and not give in to despair.   between job/money issues and then serious health issues just making it  through the day can be a struggle.

I will pray for you that God can lift you out of this time.  Stay strong.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
