What difference does it make whether it is the federal, state or local government issuing a mandate? A mandate is a mandate.

Seriously?

If you do not own a car and do not desire to drive you are exempt from State Mandates of having a required license and car insurance. In Obamacare everyone must buy Health Insurance or face jail time or a steep fine.

Do you really want to live in a society wherein the Government will dictate what you must purchase? If you do you will next be forced to purchase and drive a dangerous battery operated inefficient vehicle which will likely burn down your home in the middle of the night.

Wake Up sir!

Dave, it is against Federal Law for an emergency room to turn anyone away from treatment...... so in this analogy, everyone drives or has access to.driving. If you want to take this analogy, you would have to say that an ER would/could refuse you service if you couldn't pay for it.

If you cancel your auto policy and sell your vehicles deciding to never drive again can you be fined or imprisoned?

You are arguing apples and oranges Sam.

Someone stated that auto insurance mandates are like Obamacare and they aren't even remotely close. In Auto Insurance mandates you can opt out. You cannot opt out of Obamacare without a severe penalty and possible jail time.

If you want to live under Socialism move to Venezuela but please don't ask me to give up my Liberty for your security because in doing so neither of us will benefit. We will lose our Liberty and security. Your security is in your Liberty.

Funny I seem to be required by the government to put taxes towards social security & medicare for seniors, services I very likely will never get good returns on when I myself reach retirement age.

Where is the outrage about that?

I'm over 65 and on medicare, and I paid into it since i was 18 years old....... had I invested that money into an annuity I'b be getting almost double the money back, and the money I put into it would still be there or recoverable by the insruance company the annuity is with.

From my viewpoint one of us is going to get messed over, because they have borrowed the principle that I put in and spent it on wars, among other things.

You'd better go read Obamacare and the Mandatory Insurance purchasing part. As I've said, 'it's far past time to Wake Up sir!"

Your head is in the clouds... People go to jail for not having other mandated insurance, and health care insurance will be no different.

I sure hope they do, it is very unconstitional, and on top of that, it wont work. Its spending money the government doesnt have, to force us to spend money that we dont have, just so we can afford "health care" that is outrageously expensive. So, unconstitional law that wont work? it needs struck down. IF they were serious about making health care affordable, then theyd find a way to do it-this is all about control, not the good of the people. My dad had a good plan-he thinks we should A: get rid of the ambulance chasers, i.e. find another method of keeping doctors accountable without lawsuits coming into play, that way they wouldnt need the expensive malpractice insurance (lawsuits dont do any good anyway-the insurance just pays the lawsuit, doctor keeps on making the same mistakes) B: the government should have taken all that bailout money they gave the car industry and used it to pay off all the bad debt in the hospitals (another reason costs are so high) and then C: force them to drop their prices to what they were in 1950. Once you take out the malpractice insurance and the bad debt, hospital charges then become affordable to us, yet the doctors can still afford their BMWs and golf weekends. Think about it-thats a practical method, it drops costs all the way around-but no, theyd rather throw money away down the tube for a method that will just further bankrupt our country and violate our rights.

The only reason it's unconstitutional is because we do not let insurance companies sell insurance across state lines..... I do not know if that is changed in the bill or not. Thing's much too big to research it all. Would take full time for at least a couple of months to do that.

But if you can sell insurance across state lines then it's commerce and the government would have the constitutional right to regulate it.

The lawyers ought to learn from the lawgiver, the law should only be given because of transgressions and be created in such a way that it seeks to chasten the lawbreaker and cause them to be a partaker in Gods holiness.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
