1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person... Hebrews 1:1-3

...the LORD hath sought him a man (David) after his own heart... I Samuel 13:14 Parenthesis inserted

Just verses to ponder. I acknowledge my ignorance.

God Love you my Friend. I just finished studying Hebrews express image of his person a few days ago. What timing! The basic meaning is that Jesus is in fact the walking talking image of the Father in every detail. Unlike me and my inner word were, especially before the word of God helped me to become more consistent within myself. If my word was made flesh and dwelt with me, we would have had a few fist fights due to the fact that we were so different from one another at times. God, however, is perfectly consistent through out his whole being soul, spirit, word. As the scripture says these three agree in one. God has taught me so much about not allowing my words to betray me but to keep them under tight reign and in subjection unto his word.

Those beginning words of Hebrews are absolutely mind blowing as well. To think that everyone before Jesus who ever spoke the word of God was not truly of God but someone who was separate but walking with him. They each had lives outside of God. Jesus did not. God the Father was his life. The more I become like God the Father through Jesus his Son, the more my own inner word respects and loves me.

David was fairly consistent with himself to outside of the year he was dead inside from keeping his sin in. Great addition to the thread Monarchy. Much appreciated.

In Jesus Name,

Gary

What does it mean to be made in God's image...?

Probably will come out sounding like a raving lunatic...but...

Have understood it in terms like these:

The compassion we show to those in need such as giving a neighbor a place to sleep when natural disaster has robbed him/her of a home just as God has ever provided His children their needs, if only they seek Him and place their faith in Him.

The forgiveness we give to those who wrong us, much as Jesus forgave those who put Him there....saying "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do."

There is much more I could likely add to this......but will refrain.

May God Bless You

Gary: Its a terrible world we make for ourselves that will not allow for course corrections along the way. Remember, if you will learn anything, much of it will not be your own ideas.

By the way, if youre thinking things through, then reasoning is a part of the process. Otherwise you must be waiting for a kind of un-reasoned inspiration like the apostles. Since the canon is closed the Holy Spirit restricts his teaching to what is within the sacred text and that puts you in the same position as the rest the Christians.

Plus its always safer to offer a dismisal than it is to put out on the table what you really believe, instead have a go at it.

My opinion stands. Feel free to be as course as you like in your personal corrections of me. God judge between us.

God does judge and he recognizes it when his kids are taking themselves too seriously when they think that what they surmise is the same as biblical truth.

Gary,

What I say below is not to discourage you but rather to let you know why you may (perhaps) not always get much of a response to some or all of the deep thoughts you expressed in your original post here.

I mean relative to the length of your original post.

For me personally...your original post (herein referred to as OP) thoughts are too deep for an off the top response. And since I do not have time to think too deeply just now and since I really have no burden to think deeply about the Trinity just now...I must leave your thoughts to stand alone unresponded to. At least from me.

It is a truth with no end that many times the burden we may have on our hearts to understand something, grasp something, and apply something of the things of God is not always shared by others in the Body. Resulting in a rather lonely walk of it respecting that burden though in truth we are never entirely alone.

God, the God who loves us, is with us and rejoicing in our willingness to seek Him and enter into the glory of understanding the deeper things of a matter.

And He may yet use us at some point in time to bring some measure of sharing in that glory to others through our persistence in seeking Him.

All the best.

Carlos

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
