  1. "Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31 Eagles love the storm. The eagle uses the storm's wind to lift it higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagles use the raging storm to lift him above the clouds. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably. The Word and the Spirit are the wind beneath your wings. When you declare the Word over your life, you can ride the wind. When we wait upon the Lord, we can ride His wind, even in adversity. What the enemy meant for your harm, He will turn around for your good as you stay prayerful, stay in His presence, seek His face and stand in the reality of who you are in Christ. Don't let the wicked one move you with the winds and hailstorms. Ride the wind of adversity and use the storm to your advantage. Rejoice in the tribulation knowing that your character will become more Christ-like as you press into the work of the Cross. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  2. Romans 15:13 - "May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing -- through the experience of your faith--that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope." HOPE IS A DIVINE DREAM. IT'S AN INNER IMAGE THAT'S BIGGER THAN YOU ARE BECAUSE IT'S BUILT ON THE PROMISES OF GOD. Example: IF THE DOCTOR TOLD YOU THAT YOU WILL NEVER WALK, THEN YOU SEE YOURSELF CLIMBING MOUNTAINS AND BRINGING THE WORD OF GOD TO HURTING PEOPLE. YOU FIND IN SCRIPTURE (ISAIAH 40:31) WHERE IT SAYS THOSE WHO WAIT ON THE LORD SHALL RUN AND WALK AND NOT FAINT OR BE WEARY. YOU LOOK AT IT UNTIL YOU SEE NOTHING ELSE. PICTURE YOURSELF WALKING FOR MILES AND RUNNING FROM ONE PLACE TO THE NEXT, TELLING EVERYONE - JESUS HAS RAISED YOU UP AND MADE YOU WHOLE. Affirmation: I TAKE THE WORD OF GOD AND BUILD VISION .......NOW! Psalm 37:4 - "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart." Matthew 13:3,8 - “Behold, the sower went out to sow; And others fell on the good soil and *yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty." It takes spiritual eyes and sensitivity to discern the movements of God in our everyday lives. Sometimes His words come as a whisper and His movements like a gentle breeze moving through the branches of our lives, but as we seek first the King and His Kingdom by confessing and meditating on His word we will discern His voice and His faithfulness through each day. We must trust God with the seeds that He plants in us. His words over us are wrapped in His faithful promises and never-ending love. They require the softness of our heart to grow deep roots and break through the ground of faith so that they will manifest in the earthly realm. We cannot demand how God grows the seed or when it will move from the soil of faith to the visible realm. We must allow the roots to go deep so that when trouble comes, our seed will not be plucked up while still in its tender beginnings. Matthew 24:45 - "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household?" The word tells us that God shows Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are "perfect" toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). "Perfect" doesn't mean that we have to do everything just right and live without making a mistake. It means "devoted" -- a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God. Who is faithful? The one who spends his time doing what God as called him to do -- or as Jesus put it, the one who takes up his cross and follows him. The one who denies his fleshly desires and spends his life on the things God desires him to do. Affirmations: I am a faithful and wise servant. I find out what is stealing my time from the Lord. I take up Jesus' thoughts today. I take up His purposes and plans. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  3. Isaiah 66:2 - "To this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word." THE HEBREW WORD FOR LOOK IS "NABAT" WHICH MEANS TO REGARD, PAY ATTENTION TO, OR TO ESTEEM. THE ONE WHO GETS GOD'S FAVORABLE ATTENTION IS POOR OR HUMBLE. HUMILITY IS NOT BEING WEAK, WIMPY OR SPINELESS. IN FACT OFTEN THE TRULY HUMBLE ARE MISTAKEN FOR ACTING ARROGANT. DAVID WAS ACCUSED OF BEING ARROGANT AND FULL OF PRIDE BY HIS OLDER BROTHER, ELIAB, WHO HAD BEEN REJECTED BY GOD FOR THE VERY THING HE ACCUSED DAVID OF (1 SAMUEL 17:26,28). BUT GOD CALLED DAVID A MAN AFTER HIS OWN HEART. A HUMBLE PERSON IS UTTERLY DEPENDANT ON GOD. THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT HIM. THUS, THEY SEEK HIS DESIRE AND WILL IN EVERYTHING. CONTRITENESS IS LIKENED TO BROKENNESS. TO BE BROKEN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WEAKNESS, BUT WITH SUBMISSION TO AUTHORITY. Psalm 51:16,17 - "For you do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart - These, O God, You will not despise." Romans 8:33 -- "Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies." Mark 15:3 -- "And the chief priest accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing." Why didn't Jesus defend Himself? The reason: to remain under His Father's judgment and thus His protection. When we refuse to defend ourselves we are hidden under the hand of God's grace and judgment. There is no safer place. In contrast, those who defend themselves come under the jurisdiction of their accusers and their judgment, and thus they forfeit divine intervention. The moment I justify and defend myself I yield to my accuser as judge. I forfeit my spiritual right of protection, for He (my accuser) rises above me in the realm of the spirit as I answer His criticism. His influence is elevated by my self-defense. By attempting to prove my innocence, I am at the mercy of my accuser. 1 Peter 2:23 -- "He (Jesus) did not retaliate when He was insulted. When He suffered, He did not threaten to get even. He left His case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly." We start out in simple faith, trusting Him regardless of the circumstances. Then God makes a way when there is no way. We possess our promised land (seeJoshua 6:1-5) with step by step obedience. When you come up against your spiritual Jerichos, you've got to have the Word of God in your heart. Without it, marching around Jericho won't so any good. But with the Word in your heart in your mouth, you can march around impossible barriers declaring God's Word. Those walls have to come down. VICTORY DECLARATIONS: In all things, I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who loves me. - Romans 8:37 God always promises me the victory in every circumstance. - 1 Corinthians 15:57 Thanks be to God who always causes me to triumph in Christ. - 2 Corinthians 2:14 I take possession of what belongs to me in Christ. 4. 1 John 2:17,18 - "The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come." Religion idolizes concepts and avoids personal experience. It is the antichrist spirit that has given rise to religious spirits. Being led by the Holy Spirit is an ongoing God encounter. A religious spirit is a demonic presence that works to get us to substitute being led by our intellect instead of the Spirit of God. Galatians 5:25 - "If the Spirit is the source of our life, let the Spirit also direct our course." John 4:24 - "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." Exodus 34:14 - "You shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." The Lord did not say He was, at times, jealous; He said His name, which reveals His nature, is "Jealous". Right next to His name "I Am" is His name "Jealous". His jealousy for us is perfect. It is not the same as human jealousy: petty, possessive and insecure. His jealousy is based upon His pure love for us and His desire to bless us and fulfill our lives in Him. His love is not some ethereal principle of "higher cosmic consciousness." His love is focused upon us, actually jealous for us as individuals. AFFIRMATION: Jesus knows my name. Jesus loves me personally. Jesus gave all for me. Jesus deserves all from me. James 4:5 - "Or do you suppose it is vain that the scripture says, "He yearns jealously over the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us." John 10:3 - "To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice; and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out." "Seeing that it will not be impossible with God to fulfill His every declaration." - Luke 1:37 There is supernatural power released in the Word of God through declaration. Jesus said (Mark 11:23) in the letter to the Hebrews (Hebrews 10:23) that we are encouraged to hold fast our confession. Once we have released our faith in the command of faith or the prayer of faith, we must continue to believe God is working regardless of any visible change. When we affirm out loud and meditate on the Word concerning our authority, the Holy Spirit writes His laws on the tablets of our hearts. As we endure as good soldiers, we hold fast to the Word until it is manifested in the seen realm. The Words of Jesus, which were given to Him by His Father, upholds all things. "And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power." - Hebrews 1:3 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  5. Matthew 1:21 - "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save His people from their sins." Of all the names that the heavenly Father could have given His Son, it is most significant that He chose the name "Jesus," for Jesus is the Greek form of "Joshua," who was the Hebrew general who led the people into warfare. To be prepared for greater victories, we need a greater revelation of Jesus Christ; we need to see him as a Holy warrior, dressed for battle. Isaiah 42:13 - "The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies." Matthew 12:35 - "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things." Affirmations: BEFORE I FRAME MY WORLD THE WAY I WANT TO HAVE IT FRAMED I KNOW THAT I AM GOING TO HAVE TO SCRAPE OFF SOME OF THE OLD WAYS OF THINKING, BELIEVING, AND SPEAKING WHICH HAVE BEEN LIMITING MY PROGRESS. I CONFESS TODAY THAT I YIELD MY HEART TO GOD'S WORD SO THAT RIGHT THINKING, RIGHT BELIEVING, AND RIGHT SPEAKING BECOMES A WAY OF LIFE FOR ME. Hebrews 3:1 - "Therefore, holy brethren, who share in a heavenly call, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession." "If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God." - 1 Peter 4:11 NIV One of the greatest revelations of the New Testament is that Christ dwells within His people who live on the earth. That is why they are called the Body of Christ. We actually become the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the earth, but we also become His mouth. God speaks prophetically through His people. "...the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you..." (Romans 8:11 AMP). We speak as God's earthly representatives. By releasing the voice of the Lord through the power of the spoken word, we can decree a thing and it will come to pass. It will happen. And it's all done by speaking words of faith. "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways." - Job 22:28AMP ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  6. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." OBSERVATION: Sometimes I have to speak the Word to myself until I believe it -- then I can use that word to speak to my situation. The abiding word produces the spirit of faith within me; so I spend time with God and permit that word to abide in me. I confess that word and meditate in that word and abide in Jesus. Then the spirit of faith is produced in me. Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God." Romans 6:4,5 - "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection." The cross of Golgotha utterly crucified us. Our natural being no longer has a place in God's thoughts. The death of Jesus on the cross put an irrevocable end to what we are by nature and what we could ever be. What we are in Christ has nothing more to do with what we were before we were crucified. InChrist we find ourselves in the province of resurrection, and resurrection is only possible if there is first a death. In the resurrection there is only one reality -- Christ all and in all! l Corinthians 3:18,19 - "Make no mistake about it: if any one of you thinks of himself as wise, in the ordinary sense of the word, then he must learn to be a fool before he really can be wise. Why? Because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God....God is not convinced by the arguments of the wise." On our own we cannot comprehend how to grow and live in oneness with God. Live every day in the knowledge that every bit of spiritual insight is a pure gift from God. The only way to receive wisdom from God is to come before Him (SUBMITTING YOUR SPIRIT TO HIM), pushing away every bit of understanding you think you have gained, and each day, offer yourself as a servant who is willing to do the lowest job. As long as you allow the spirit of "superior knowledge" to secretly overtake you -- that is, to be master of you of your own soul -- you will be as powerless in spirit as a slave -- always subject to your lower nature. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Matthew 14:29 - "And He said, 'Come. ' And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus." WHAT PROGRAM, WHAT DEGREE OF MINISTERIAL PROFESSIONALISM CAN COMPARE WITH THE LIFE AND POWER WE RECEIVE THROUGH HIM? Ephesians 4:26,27 - "In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold." Some debate whether the devil is on earth or in hell – can he dwell in Christians or only in the world? The fact is the devil is in darkness. Wherever there is spiritual darkness, there the devil will be. When Satan rebelled against God he was placed under eternal judgment, in what the bible calls “pits” and “bonds of darkness”. The devil and the fallen angels with him have been relegated to live in darkness. This darkness does not simply mean lifeless regions or areas void of visible light. The eternal darkness to which scripture refers is essentially a moral darkness, which does ultimately degenerate into literal darkness. However it’s cause is not simply the absence of light, it is the absence of God who is light. Affirmations: THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN ME, AND HE ALWAYS CONVICTS ME OF WRONG ATTITUDES THAT THE DEVIL COULD POTENTIALLY USE TO BIND ME. I CONFESS THAT I WALK IN FORGIVENESS! OFFENSE, BITTERNESS, STRIFE, AND UNFORGIVENESS HAVE NO PLACE IN MY LIFE. I AM FULL OF MERCY, LONGSUFFERING, AND SLOW TO ANGER. Song of Solomon 1:15 - "Behold you are fair ,my love; behold you are fair; you have doves' eyes." YOU ALREADY HAVE "DOVES' EYES" - YOU ARE SIMPLE INWARDLY AND OUTWARDLY. INWARDLY - YOU BEHOLD YOUR KING (JESUS); OUTWARDLY - YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS ARE FREE FROM DECEPTION. SIMPLICITY IS THE SUREST SIGN OF SPIRITUAL PROGRESS. TO REACH YOUR BELOVED (JESUS) YOU LET HIS SPIRIT LEAD YOU. LOVE IS PERFECTED IN SIMPLICITY AND HONESTY. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
