The answer to you question is that we can either accept God or we can deny Him. Life is in the tongue. About your father. I strongly suggest that you get to him or call him continually and be telling him about why he needs to repent and get saved. If he runs you off that is his choice but you will have no guilt if you do this since you would have done all you could. I will pray for you to do the right thing and him to listen.

I would take issue with that answer. That makes it all about me and my wants. In other words seeking a certain type of eternal life. Life is about living for and serving the Lord.

My guess is that we all have done this more then once. Our tongues sets the world on fire. The answer to your question is that you might be seeking something that you will never get. You stated that you did all you could. You sought forgiveness. Now simply move on. If this person has forgiven and you see him again he will act as nothing happened and you can be friends. If he has not forgiven then the ball is in his park. Simply pray for him and leave it alone, but do not keep trying to win forgiveness by trying buy it. I see parents doing this. Sometimes they fail their children miserably and they continually seek forgiveness while the whole time the child is using them. You have done all that can be done except pray for him. This is not simply a teen issue. More and more people are being falsely led to believe that they can get saved without repentance or being told repentance is being sorry with confession. Repentance is a turning to God without measure. Also they are being told that faith is something it is not. This is all spoken of in scripture as we draw near the coming of the Lord.

Actually it is not the same. A shot and surgery are very different. Also any reactions to a shot are so rare that it is not even worth mentioning. There needs to be a clear reason for doing something or not doing something, not simply a whim. Doctors claim there is no pain in the process of circumcising a new born. I suppose that is why they ALL scream bloody murder. That being said even if there was no pain at all there still should be a clear logical reason to do any surgery. Not simply because I think it is best without information.

Advice is fine. False claims are not. There is no known health issues where being circumcised can prevent. There may be other issues that make it wise but not falsely claimed health issues. It is a very profitable surgery for the Doctors however.

what health reasons? Uncircumcised males are more prone to infections and STDs, from what I've read. Remember, this is just what I've read. Christians are not required to do this for religious reasons but doctors usually recommend it being done as soon as possible rather than leaving open the possibility of traumatizing a boy (or man) who might have to have it done later in life. Yes I think so. Do you think that Jesus had personal satisfaction in what He did? Or felt self honor? Or needed a sense of self worth? I don't think so. While I was opposed to the idea at first that all pride is sin I am now leaning that such is true. I hear people say that they are proud to be an American. That is pride and it IS sin. This was the best response; I think anything that lifts us up rather then God is pride and that is sin. Jer 9:23 Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; Jer 9:24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. I think being thankful and being proud are two different things totally. I can be thankful for the food the Lord gives me, but it is very difficult in calling thankfulness for my children when it is actually pride in the areas that they succeed. I don't boast about my food, but I may boast about my child. That is pride. When I first heard this man teach this in the lesson I was opposed to it, but the more I dwell on it I have to admit that all pride may very well be sin. Even in those times when I try one of those politically correct answers and call it being thankful or something else. I admit that this is difficult because we are a prideful people, me included. Recently in a morning bible study the teacher stated that all pride is sin. I challenged him on it and asked if he was proud of his children and he said no. By the way his children and grandchildren are ALL involved in the Lord's work. My question is this. Is all pride a sin? You might want to look up the definition of pride and proud.
