Remember this verse..."A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1 Also, just put your husband in the Lord's hands. Start to take care of yourself, don't worry about him...let the Lord deal with him. Get some rest...keep a quiet spirit/heart. If necessary, go out for a brief stroll if he starts to argue with you. If he gets physical, call the police. Don't let him manipulate you.

Have you thought of doing some type of volunteer work? Choose something of interest to you, and you will probably find some like minded people. Even volunteering at an animal shelter is good, if you love animals. Hopefully, you have a home church.... perhaps they offer some volunteer opportunities. Usually when we reach out and think of others, this gets our minds off of ourselves....therefore, we won't notice loneliness as much.

The only problem is the father is a Muslim. Usually that means the child must be raised as a Muslim. However, since the father doesn't seem interested in supporting his child, perhaps he wouldn't insist on the child being a Muslim.

I think the author was just saying that later on in our lives, we will meet others that are suffering....and then we will be more able to minister to a suffering person because we have experienced that. He didn't mean everyone has to experience ten years of suffering.

Title: Be Still Author: Mrs. Charles E. Cowman Source: Streams in the Desert Scripture Reference: Genesis 26:24-24 "And the Lord appeared unto Isaac the same night" (Gen. 26:24). "Appeared the same night," the night on which he went to Beer-sheba. Do you think this revelation was an accident? Do you think the time of it was an accident? Do you think it could have happened on any other night as well as this? If so, you are grievously mistaken. Why did it come to Isaac in the night on which he reached Beer-sheba? Because that was the night on which he reached rest. In his old locality, he had been tormented. There had been a whole series of petty quarrels about the possession of paltry wells. There are no worries like little worries, particularly if there is an accumulation of them. Isaac felt this. Even after the strife was past, the place retained a disagreeable association. He determined to leave. He sought change of scene. He pitched his tent away from the place of former strife. That very night the revelation came. God spoke when there was no inward storm. He could not speak when the mind was fretted; His voice demands the silence of the soul. Only in the hush of the spirit could Isaac hear the garments of his God sweep by. His still night was his starry night. My soul, hast thou pondered these words, "Be still, and know"? In the hour of perturbation, thou canst not hear the answer to thy prayers. How often has the answer seemed to come long after I The heart got no response in the moment of its crying--in its thunder, its earthquake, and its fire. But when the crying ceased, when the stillness fell, when thy hand desisted from knocking on the iron gate, when the interest of other lives broke the tragedy of thine own, then appeared the long-delayed reply. Thou must rest, O soul, if thou wouldst have thy heart's desire. Still the beating of thy pulse of personal care. Hide thy tempest of individual trouble behind the altar of a common tribulation and, that same night, the Lord shall appear to thee. The rainbow shall span the place of the subsiding flood, and in thy stillness thou shalt hear the everlasting music. --George Matheson Tread in solitude thy pathway, Quiet heart and undismayed. Thou shalt know things strange, mysterious, Which to thee no voice has said. While the crowd of petty hustlers Grasps at vain and paltry things, Thou wilt see a great world rising Where soft mystic music rings. Leave the dusty road to others, Spotless keep thy soul and bright, As the radiant ocean's surface When the sun is taking flight. --(From the German of V. Schoffel) H. F. Title: Trained to Comfort Author: Mrs. Charles E. Cowman Source: Streams in the Desert Scripture Reference: Isaiah 40:1-1 "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God" (Isa. 40:1). Store up comfort. This was the prophet's mission. The world is full of comfortless hearts, and ere thou art sufficient for this lofty ministry, thou must be trained. And thy training is costly in the extreme; for, to render it perfect, thou too must pass through the same afflictions as are wringing countless hearts of tears and blood. Thus thy own life becomes the hospital ward where thou art taught the Divine art of comfort. Thou art wounded, that in the binding up of thy wounds by the Great Physician, thou mayest learn how to render first aid to the wounded everywhere. Dost thou wonder why thou art passing through some special sorrow? Wait till ten years are passed, and thou wilt find many others afflicted as thou art. Thou wilt tell them how thou hast suffered and hast been comforted; then as the tale is unfolded, and the anodynes applied which once thy God wrapped around thee, in the eager look and the gleam of hope that shall chase the shadow of despair across the soul, thou shalt know why thou wast afflicted, and bless God for the discipline that stored thy life with such a fund of experience and helpfulness. --Selected God does not comfort us to make us comfortable, but to make us comforters. --Dr. Jowett "They tell me I must bruise The rose's leaf, Ere I can keep and use Its fragrance brief. "They tell me I must break The skylark's heart, Ere her cage song will make The silence start. "They tell me love must bleed, And friendship weep, Ere in my deepest need I touch that deep. "Must it be always so With precious things? Must they be bruised and go With beaten wings? "Ah, yes! by crushing days, By caging nights, by scar Of thorn and stony ways, These blessings are!" President Trump and Japan sign great trade deal for U.S.
Debp replied to Debp's topic in U.S. Politics
I was actually referring to the Americans dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki....that the Japanese seem to hold no bitterness against us. Although all war is horrible, the dropping of the atomic bomb caused truly extreme injuries and deaths. Skin just melts right off of people with an atomic bomb. Further away from the atomic bomb, there were still very severe burning/melting of flesh, and radiation which affected many civilians for many years. All war is horrible...but I wasn't referring to other atrocities committed by the Japanese, which were horrible, too. -
From God Calling... Practice Love Watch over and protect us. Want of Love will block the way. You must love all. Those that fret you and those who do not. Practice Love. It is a great lesson, and you have a great Teacher. You must love, how otherwise can you dwell in Me, when nothing unloving can come? Practice this and I will bless you exceedingly, above all you cannot only ask, but imagine. No limit to My Power. Do all you can and leave to Me the rest. Peace will come, and Trust. Fear not, I am your Advocate, your Mediator. "And this is his commandment... love one another, as he gave us commandment." 1 John 3:23 GOD CALLING

Actually I always loved going to church. To me, it is a time of having my spirit touched and renewed in a special way. I looked forward to it each week. However, currently my neighborhood doesn't have a good church, just liberal ones or Korean language churches.

Thankfully some people do change....they forgive and get over the past. I visited Japan for a week years ago....the people are very nice and friendly. Also, I know a missionary who lived there until retiring....she affirmed their pleasantness. Also, we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki which killed many, and severely burned many people. Many children were orphaned. I watch NHK, a Japanese station sometimes. Although they have a memorial each year about the bombings, the people hold no bitterness to Americans. Just like we don't hold bitterness towards them for Pearl Harbor. All of us should forgive and move on. Sometimes I run into someone who gets offended over the slightest thing, and refuses to forgive...very childish actually. Whereas, others that have suffered greatly do forgive and seek to move on. They are the bigger person for that. -
Sins We Are Born Into, and Must Overcome

I believe when we delight in the Lord that then the desires of our heart change more into what the Lord has for us. -

A city councilman's office got her a job for Saturday singing at the opening of Little Italy here. They are helping her to find an agent as she has offers for recording contracts. A GoFundMe was set up for her, and last I heard the other day, it had $70,000 in it. People are helping....being such a big city, I only know of the above. Perhaps when she was on the streets, Christians hopefully helped her.
