  1. Thank you NConly.
  2. I realize that the union between one man and one woman is less confusing. I have heard modern Biblical teachers say that a man who has more than one woman is sexually immoral. Does this mean that the Biblical men who had multiple wives/concubines were sexually immoral? I am aware that a man cannot legally marry more than one woman in the U.S., but it is possible for a man to legally commit to supporting another woman. So, it is possible for a man to have multiple women and still be right with God even though the best way is one man and woman? Thanks.
  3. I believe were all saved by faith.
  4. Thank you all for your comments. I do agree that polygamy never ended well in the Bible. Some of my confusion still stems from the fact that sexually immoral people are cast into the lake of fire- But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8. So, in that light, are Jacob, David, Solomon, etc. included in that group and if so, they will also be cast into the lake of fire?
  5. While I understand that God created one man, Adam, and one woman, Eve, I am perplexed by the fact that if a man has more than one woman, wife, concubine today, he is seen as being sexually immoral. Several notable Biblical characters had multiple wives/concubines but are still revered. I appreciate any help in this area.
