  1. I asked this question once before or very similar and I want to get advice again. I was raised to believe in the Church of God they believe when the scripture talks about backsliding in Romans that means you can lose your salvation. That salvation is a choice given freely and God won't take it away but that you can walk away from it and lose your salvation. I then switched to Baptist were they believe you ask God to forgive you it can never be taken away but at the same time I found by speaking with them they feel if you really are seeking Christ and following after him the desire to sin should not be there buy that you won't lose it if you do sin. I guess my question is this why does it seem we put a measure to sin when God doesn't he sees them all the same in His eyes. So why is it some seem ok but others are not. I am a little confused where I stand I feel that if someone anyone believes and accepts that once he or she is forgiven then they are saved. I guess where I am going with this is there is a sin that seems worse than others but in Gods, sin is a sin. Does anyone out there believe that if a person is a homosexual that they can go to heaven when they die if they have asked God to forgive them for there sin?
  2. Hi I just want to say I feel like I am drawing closer to God I do believe in Him I know He exists. There are so many things that divide the church and differ in our opinions. I know I asked to Him to forgive me I feel He did. It is not up to me to decide whether I person is truly saved. God knows the condition and manner of the heart He really is the only one who truly does know that and the individual. I recently started attending a church. I know it is very different from the way I have raised it what it teaches but I for some reason I don't feel like I am in the wrong for going there. My brother left the church 7 years ago and wanted nothing to do with God at all. Now he is showing an interest but only wanting to attend a certain church. I have been going with him I feel like I am doing the right thing. I have been reading the bible myself. I have been hurt by church people very badly I had quit going awhile myself. I did find one I was going to alone for a while that seemed to be a good fit. My brother would never consider going there because there is one issue they don't agree with. I wrestle with where I am with God I want to know Him better it truly is the desire of my heart. Just wanted to share my thoughts with you today.

  7. It is a really dark brown bread I prefer it over regular rye bread. It can be hard to find at the store not allot of bread companies make it. I think there is only one that makes it here and our local store makes it.
  8. I like to boil the chicken or you can bake it, either way, you cook the chicken then you shred the chicken while it is cooking you saute onion and pecans in a skillet till there translucent and cooked. Then you put the onion mixture with the shredded chicken with cream cheese you can use a lighter version of cream cheese if you want to. Then you add them to the tortilla on the edge and roll them you put them seam side down in a casserole dish in a bowl you mix sour cream and cream of chicken soup combine and add to the top of the tortillas then bake at 350 for 30 minutes when the timer goes off you can add cheese of your choice and let it melt on top for 10 minutes then it is ready to eat. you can add green chiles to the onion and pecan mixture I leave them out but the recipe calls for it.

  12. So I know eventually God turned his back on Saul and his heart was hardened. Do you think King Saul was ever a Christian, to begin with? I am not really seeing when I read about it him that he ever truly followed the Lord. I was just curious about anyone's thoughts about this subject.
  13. That is very tricky I know the Bible speaks about not judging but then it also comes back and says to approach people that are doing wrong in a soft gentle way and bring them back. I looked up the word condemn I could not find anything that would answer your question but I do find what you are saying interesting good thought.
  14. Yes I have found that in the new testament some of the writers refer back to the old testament when they are explaining the professes coming true and in reference to things that were said that relate to what they are saying.
  15. Thank you for the recommendation
  16. I didn't realize there was a book called War Room I have seen a movie with a similar title. It would be good to read the book.

  18. Does anyone know of a Christian ebook library? I like to hold books in my hand but lately have started reading on my Ipad because it is hard for me to get books back on time to the library. I am on a budget so sometimes I will look at thrift stores or half price books for books. I only shop Barnes and Nobles and Amazon if I get a gift card as a gift.

  20. I like Janette Oke and Francene Rivers I also think Tedd Dekker is good. I read in Between Sundays by her it was good
  21. I have lost close friends role models I looked up to they not only died but died in very difficult circumstances and none were easy they got gravely I’ll. Gods choice to heal was taking the to heaven. Each one of the three wee Godly women who made even my darkest days better. I don’t really have a bad memory of any of them. It has been hard watching there kids my age lose there parents and struggle with the loss. Yes it does get lonely out there even when you are surrounded by Godly people
  22. I think God wanted to focus on the Jews there because they had not yet expected that Jesus was the messiah. I understand he wanted allmen saved and extended it unto the gentiles but the gentiles were not holding onto the old laws like the Jews were.
  23. You make such a great point. I love the point you are trying to make.
  24. Possibly king david
