Scriptural proof for the pre-trib rapture of the Church
Psalms37:4 replied to Quasar93's topic in Prophecy
Let me just clarify this a little better. This is who Jesus is coming for in Revelation 19. Revelation 19:13-21New King James Version (NKJV) 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.” 19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. -
Hmm odd? I have this scripture highlighted in my bible but it's not saved in my "Gathering of Israel and Judah" folder. It's a good scripture too. Jeremiah 16:15-16 New King James Version (NKJV) 15 but, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. 16 “Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says the Lord, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. I just try to read my bible more and focus on getting my answers there instead of the media. But I shouldn't boost. He gets the credit. And yeah it's hard to believe Jesus' return is that soon and all these prophecies we read in our bible is happening right before our eyes. It's like a dream coming true turning into reality.

This is the point I'm trying to get across. Read Zechariah chapters 3 & 6 and read the surrounding chapters. Try to understand it without preconceived ideas when reading.

Scriptural proof for the pre-trib rapture of the Church
Psalms37:4 replied to Quasar93's topic in Prophecy
Someone actually thinks this is biblical? -
This is an old thread but I thought I bump it up as this is a very important prophecy and the timing on it's fulfillment is a lot sooner than most people think. Will certainly shock those that can solve this prophecy. Joshua is the English spelling for Yeshua. So Joshua in this prophecy is Jesus. I'm aware in some verses it says "Joshua the son of Jehozadak." Jehozadak is a biblical character mentioned in other parts of the bible who was the father of the other Joshua. His name means Jehovah-justified. I'm not sure if I can explain this well enough but it's very common in bible prophecies that names of certain figures in the past are used to identify different future individuals like Cyrus or Nebuchadnezzar. Basically what I'm saying is don't get sidetrack because it said son of Jehozadek. Joshua in this prophecy is Jesus. Other verses in the book of Zechariah testifies to this. Jesus is the Branch in this prophecy who will build the temple, and others will come help. This part is just trivial and probably not important.....I think. Certainly not the reason why I'm posting this but has anyone noticed in Zechariah 6:10 there's 3 individuals from Babylon with gifts? Just thought I mention this since we're near Christmas. Just speculating. Yeshua is the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Joshua.” Iesous is the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Jesus.” Thus, the names “Joshua” and “Jesus” are essentially the same; both are English pronunciations of the Hebrew and Greek names for our Lord. (For examples of how the two names are interchangeable, see Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8 in the KJV. In both cases, the word Jesus refers to the Old Testament character Joshua.) https://www.gotquestions.org/Yeshua-Jesus.html The proper name Jesus /ˈdʒiːzəs/ used in the English language originates from the Latin form of the Greek name Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous), a rendition of the Hebrew Yeshua (ישוע), also having the variants Joshua or Jeshua https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_(name) Zechariah 6:9-15 New King James Version (NKJV) 9 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 10 “Receive the gift from the captives—from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have come from Babylon—and go the same day and enter the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah. 11 Take the silver and gold, make an elaborate crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. 12 Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying: “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the Lord; 13 Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’ 14 “Now the elaborate crown shall be for a memorial in the temple of the Lord for Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen the son of Zephaniah. 15 Even those from afar shall come and build the temple of the Lord. Then you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And this shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Zechariah 3 New King James Version (NKJV) 3 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. 4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” 5 And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by. 6 Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, 7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘If you will walk in My ways, And if you will keep My command, Then you shall also judge My house, And likewise have charge of My courts; I will give you places to walk Among these who stand here. 8 ‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, You and your companions who sit before you, For they are a wondrous sign; For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH. 9 For behold, the stone That I have laid before Joshua: Upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ Says the Lord of hosts, ‘And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. 10 In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘Everyone will invite his neighbor Under his vine and under his fig tree.’”

Justin, if you want to learn about bible prophecy, go directly to the source and read God's word in the bible. Those are just commentaries from individuals throwing out their own opinions, and in many cases they just contradict each other. Trying to learn the bible by accepting their views is like the blind following the blind as you're don't learn anymore than what they think they know. The only way to be more knowledgeable than them is by studying the bible.

Oh this is future! I think that's what you wanted to hear Sister. This is the "second" 70 year captivity for the Jewish people. However, this 70 years captivity in Babylon is not about the house of Judah. Jeremiah 25 is about the 70 year captivity for the house of Israel before God brings them back into the land of Israel. After their 70 years is over which would be next year in 2018, God will also begin to lure the people of Israel back to the holy land just as He did with the people of Judah about 538 bc after the Babylonian captivity with the construction of the 2nd temple. The people of Israel will also face war breaking out in other parts of the Middle East and be scattered, and the rise in anti semitism. Their best alternative is to head home to Israel and help finish the 3rd temple. Here's scriptures on the gathering in 1948 when God brought back the Jewish people, both kingdoms back to the Middle East. Ezekiel 34:13-16 was the gathering of the house of Judah back to Israel in 1948. Ezekiel 34:13-16 New King James Version (NKJV) 13 And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down,” says the Lord God. 16 “I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment.” Ezekiel 20:33-44 is the gathering of the house of Israel in 1948. God brought them back to the Middle East but would not allow them to enter Israel yet. So right now they're serving their time, 70 years in Babylon being discipline by God (Isaiah 65:1-16) before He brings them back into Israel (Isaiah 11:11-12). As you can see from Isaiah 11:11-12, those are the locations of some of the members of the 10 tribes of Israel where God will bring them back, this time to Israel. After 70 years, He will allow them into Israel. Ezekiel 20:33-44 Good News Translation (GNT) 33 “As surely as I, the Sovereign Lord, am the living God, I warn you that in my anger I will rule over you with a strong hand, with all my power. 34 I will show you my power and my anger when I gather you together and bring you back from all the countries where you have been scattered. 35 I will bring you into the ‘Desert of the Nations,’ and there I will condemn you to your face. 36 I will now condemn you just as I condemned your ancestors in the Sinai Desert,” says the Sovereign Lord. 37 “I will take firm control of you and make you obey my covenant. 38 I will take away from among you those who are rebellious and sinful. I will take them out of the lands where they are living now, but I will not let them return to the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.” 39 The Sovereign Lord says, “And now, all you Israelites, suit yourselves! Go on and serve your idols! But I warn you that after this you will have to obey me and stop dishonoring my holy name by offering gifts to your idols. 40 There in the land, on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, all you people of Israel will worship me. I will be pleased with you and will expect you to bring me your sacrifices, your best offerings, and your holy gifts. 41 After I bring you out of the countries where you have been scattered and gather you together, I will accept the sacrifices that you burn, and the nations will see that I am holy. 42 When I bring you back to Israel, the land that I promised I would give to your ancestors, then you will know that I am the Lord. 43 Then you will remember all the disgraceful things you did and how you defiled yourselves. You will be disgusted with yourselves because of all the evil things you did. 44 When I act to protect my honor, you Israelites will know that I am the Lord, because I do not deal with you as your wicked, evil actions deserve.” The Sovereign Lord has spoken. Isaiah 65:1-16 Good News Translation (GNT) 65 The Lord said, “I was ready to answer my people's prayers, but they did not pray. I was ready for them to find me, but they did not even try. The nation did not pray to me, even though I was always ready to answer, ‘Here I am; I will help you.’ 2 I have always been ready to welcome my people, who stubbornly do what is wrong and go their own way. 3 They shamelessly keep on making me angry. They offer pagan sacrifices at sacred gardens and burn incense on pagan altars. 4 At night they go to caves and tombs to consult the spirits of the dead. They eat pork and drink broth made from meat offered in pagan sacrifices. 5 And then they say to others, ‘Keep away from us; we are too holy for you to touch!’ I cannot stand people like that—my anger against them is like a fire that never goes out. 6 “I have already decided on their punishment, and their sentence is written down. I will not overlook what they have done, but will repay them 7 for their sins and the sins of their ancestors. They have burned incense at pagan hill shrines and spoken evil of me. So I will punish them as their past deeds deserve.” 8 The Lord says, “No one destroys good grapes; instead, they make wine with them. Neither will I destroy all my people—I will save those who serve me. 9 I will bless the Israelites who belong to the tribe of Judah, and their descendants will possess my land of mountains. My chosen people, who serve me, will live there. 10 They will worship me and will lead their sheep and cattle to pasture in the Plain of Sharon in the west and in Trouble Valley in the east. 11 “But it will be different for you that forsake me, who ignore Zion, my sacred hill, and worship Gad and Meni, the gods of luck and fate. 12 It will be your fate to die a violent death, because you did not answer when I called you or listen when I spoke. You chose to disobey me and do evil. 13 And so I tell you that those who worship and obey me will have plenty to eat and drink, but you will be hungry and thirsty. They will be happy, but you will be disgraced. 14 They will sing for joy, but you will cry with a broken heart. 15 My chosen people will use your name as a curse. I, the Sovereign Lord, will put you to death. But I will give a new name to those who obey me. 16 Anyone in the land who asks for a blessing will ask to be blessed by the faithful God. Whoever takes an oath will swear by the name of the faithful God. The troubles of the past will be gone and forgotten.” I think many here already know those gathered back into Israel in 1948 are from the kingdom of Judah but took the name Israel for the country as mentioned in verse 15. Isaiah 11:11-12 New King James Version (NKJV) 11 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. 12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth. And a big happy reunion in the holy land when Judah and Israel are as one. Ezekiel 37:15-23 New King James Version (NKJV) 15 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 16 “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’ 17 Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand. 18 “And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Will you not show us what you mean by these?’— 19 say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.”’ 20 And the sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes. 21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. 23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. Not many people realize there's two 70 year periods, one was for Judah just before the construction of the 2nd temple and a second 70 year period just before the construction of the 3rd temple currently for Israel. God is pretty fair how He does things. For viewers that wish to read about the 70 year Babylonian captivity of Judah, it's found in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah starting at 2 Chronicles around chapter 36. You can compare it with the events in Jeremiah's 70 years in Jeremiah 25, the events are not even remotely close. The only similarity is the 70 years of captivity.

Hi Sister, Revelation 18 about Mystery Babylon, not Lebanon. There's many countries in the Middle East situated along the coast with harbors, ships, merchants and traders. Lebanon and Mystery Babylon are just two of many. Plus it's kinda hard to argue Isaiah 23 and Ezekiel 27 as prophecies not about Lebanon since Tyre is mentioned numerous times in those chapters. If you look at the location of where Japheth and his sons and grandsons settled in Genesis 10, the bible tells us they are all coast land people that settled in the areas in and around Asia Minor. Tarshish had to of settled in an area close to Asia Minor because the bible only mentioned the descendants of Shem and Ham having migrated and went further south. Nowhere else in the bible does it mentioned Japheth's descendants venturing beyond the coastal areas of Asia Minor. Genesis 10:2-5 New King James Version (NKJV) 2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3 The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5 From these the coastland peoples of the Gentiles were separated into their lands, everyone according to his language, according to their families, into their nations. Asia Minor is surrounded by water in the north and west and blocked off by mountains in the east. The only feasible direction was to migrate south as Shem and Ham did. However, if you wanna talk about the location of Mystery Babylon, I don't mine we do on another thread if you wanna start it. I don't mine talking about the islands fleeing away and the mountains disappeared. John is correct though. The islands and the mountains will be gone. Revelation 16:17-20 New King James Version (NKJV) 17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” 18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. 19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

You do realized the false prophet don't even come on the scene till the 7th trumpet right? Those who accept the the false prophet faces the bowl judgments, not the trumpets. Revelation 6:12-17 New King James Version (NKJV) 12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” I always thought the wrath of God begins after the 6th Seal. I guess my bible must be wrong?

Gonna rephrase this a little as I think this will make it easier for other people to understand the timing on the invasion of Ezekiel 38. I think a majority of people will agree the a/c is involved in the invasion of Jerusalem in Ezekiel 38. I think a majority of people will agree the a/c will invade Jerusalem at the middle of the tribulation. I think a majority of people will agree the a/c invades Jerusalem only once in the end times, not twice. I think a majority of people will agree the a/c come on the scene during the tribulation and not before. Hopefully this will make sense to those still wondering if Ezekiel 38 will happen before the tribulation.

Try schmoozing. Not to be confused with smooching the moderators, that might have a negative effect.

BTW, Tarshish is Britain. Proved by Ezekiel 27:12 Lebanon does not have silver, iron, lead and tin. Keras, you didn't by chance looked at Ezekiel 27:12, saw silver, iron, lead and tin in that verse and concluded Tarshish had to be Britain because you think the British Isle is the only place known to the ancient world that had iron, lead, silver and tin? Ezekiel 27:12 New King James Version (NKJV) 12 “Tarshish was your merchant because of your many luxury goods. They gave you silver, iron, tin, and lead for your goods. You might want to double check that Keras. Egypt also had and used those raw metals plus many others in the ancient world. Also if you read Ezekiel 27:12 carefully, the bible said silver, iron, tin and lead were given to them. Meaning it came from elsewhere. It's not saying Tarshish produced those metals or the metals were found in Tarshish. Here Keras. All my translations are saying Tarshish is Lebanon. And these are prophecies of the near future. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel 27&version=NKJV;ERV;NLT Ezekiel 27New King James Version (NKJV) Lamentation for Tyre 27 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying, 2 “Now, son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre, 3 and say to Tyre, ‘You who are situated at the entrance of the sea, merchant of the peoples on many coastlands, thus says the Lord God: “O Tyre, you have said, ‘I am perfect in beauty.’ 4 Your borders are in the midst of the seas. Your builders have perfected your beauty. 5 They made all your planks of fir trees from Senir; They took a cedar from Lebanon to make you a mast. 6 Of oaks from Bashan they made your oars; The company of Ashurites have inlaid your planks With ivory from the coasts of Cyprus. 7 Fine embroidered linen from Egypt was what you spread for your sail; Blue and purple from the coasts of Elishah was what covered you. 8 “Inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your oarsmen; Your wise men, O Tyre, were in you; They became your pilots. 9 Elders of Gebal and its wise men Were in you to caulk your seams; All the ships of the sea And their oarsmen were in you To market your merchandise. 10 “Those from Persia, Lydia, and Libya Were in your army as men of war; They hung shield and helmet in you; They gave splendor to you. 11 Men of Arvad with your army were on your walls allaround, And the men of Gammad were in your towers; They hung their shields on your walls all around; They made your beauty perfect. 12 “Tarshish was your merchant because of your many luxury goods. They gave you silver, iron, tin, and lead for your goods. 13 Javan, Tubal, and Meshech were your traders. They bartered human lives and vessels of bronze for your merchandise. 14 Those from the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses, steeds, and mules. 15 The men of Dedan were your traders; many isles were the market of your hand. They brought you ivory tusks and ebony as payment. 16 Syria was your merchant because of the abundance of goods you made. They gave you for your wares emeralds, purple, embroidery, fine linen, corals, and rubies. 17 Judah and the land of Israel were your traders. They traded for your merchandise wheat of Minnith, millet, honey, oil, and balm. 18 Damascus was your merchant because of the abundance of goods you made, because of your many luxury items, with the wine of Helbon and with white wool. 19 Dan and Javan paid for your wares, traversing back and forth. Wrought iron, cassia, and cane were among your merchandise. 20 Dedan was your merchant in saddlecloths for riding. 21 Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were your regular merchants. They traded with you in lambs, rams, and goats. 22 The merchants of Sheba and Raamah were your merchants. They traded for your wares the choicest spices, all kinds of precious stones, and gold. 23 Haran, Canneh, Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assyria, and Chilmad were your merchants. 24 These were your merchants in choice items—in purple clothes, in embroidered garments, in chests of multicolored apparel, in sturdy woven cords, which were in your marketplace. 25 “The ships of Tarshish were carriers of your merchandise. You were filled and very glorious in the midst of the seas. 26 Your oarsmen brought you into many waters, But the east wind broke you in the midst of the seas. 27 “Your riches, wares, and merchandise, Your mariners and pilots, Your caulkers and merchandisers, All your men of war whoare in you, And the entire company which is in your midst, Will fall into the midst of the seas on the day of your ruin. 28 The common-land will shake at the sound of the cry of your pilots. 29 “All who handle the oar, The mariners, All the pilots of the sea Will come down from their ships and stand on the shore. 30 They will make their voice heard because of you; They will cry bitterly and cast dust on their heads; They will roll about in ashes; 31 They will shave themselves completely bald because of you, Gird themselves with sackcloth, And weep for you With bitterness of heart and bitter wailing. 32 In their wailing for you They will take up a lamentation, And lament for you: ‘What city is like Tyre, Destroyed in the midst of the sea? 33 ‘When your wares went out by sea, You satisfied many people; You enriched the kings of the earth With your many luxury goods and your merchandise. 34 But you are broken by the seas in the depths of the waters; Your merchandise and the entire company will fall in your midst. 35 All the inhabitants of the isles will be astonished at you; Their kings will be greatly afraid, And their countenance will be troubled. 36 The merchants among the peoples will hiss at you; You will become a horror, and be no more forever.’”’” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah 23&version=NKJV;ERV;NLT Isaiah 23New King James Version (NKJV) Proclamation Against Tyre 23 The burden against Tyre. Wail, you ships of Tarshish! For it is laid waste, So that there is no house, no harbor; From the land of Cyprus it is revealed to them. 2 Be still, you inhabitants of the coastland, You merchants of Sidon, Whom those who cross the sea have filled. 3 And on great waters the grain of Shihor, The harvest of the River, is her revenue; And she is a marketplace for the nations. 4 Be ashamed, O Sidon; For the sea has spoken, The strength of the sea, saying, “I do not labor, nor bring forth children; Neither do I rear young men, Nor bring up virgins.” 5 When the report reaches Egypt, They also will be in agony at the report of Tyre. 6 Cross over to Tarshish; Wail, you inhabitants of the coastland! 7 Is this your joyous city, Whose antiquity is from ancient days, Whose feet carried her far off to dwell? 8 Who has taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, Whose merchants are princes, Whose traders are the honorable of the earth? 9 The Lord of hosts has purposed it, To bring to dishonor the pride of all glory, To bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth. 10 Overflow through your land like the River, O daughter of Tarshish; There is no more strength. 11 He stretched out His hand over the sea, He shook the kingdoms; The Lord has given a commandment against Canaan To destroy its strongholds. 12 And He said, “You will rejoice no more, O you oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, cross over to Cyprus; There also you will have no rest.” 13 Behold, the land of the Chaldeans, This people which was not; Assyria founded it for wild beasts of the desert. They set up its towers, They raised up its palaces, And brought it to ruin. 14 Wail, you ships of Tarshish! For your strength is laid waste. 15 Now it shall come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the harlot: 16 “Take a harp, go about the city, You forgotten harlot; Make sweet melody, sing many songs, That you may be remembered.” 17 And it shall be, at the end of seventy years, that the Lord will deal with Tyre. She will return to her hire, and commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth. 18 Her gain and her pay will be set apart for the Lord; it will not be treasured nor laid up, for her gain will be for those who dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for fine clothing. It doesn't say that in any of these translations. Not even remotely close. https://www.biblestudytools.com/ezekiel/7-16-compare.html http://biblehub.com/ezekiel/7-16.htm Here Keras, in the same chapter too. Ezekiel 38:21 New King James Version (NKJV) 21 I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.

Psalm 50 I believe is thrilling about pre-trib rapture
Psalms37:4 replied to Mary8's topic in Prophecy
Amen Mary8! Great will be that day when He comes to deliver us from wrath. -
Actually I was originally right. The Tarshish in the bible does refer to it as Tyre as I thought. Some websites associate Tarshish with Spain. Probably a different Tarshish? Isaiah 23:1 New King James Version (NKJV) 23 The burden against Tyre. Wail, you ships of Tarshish! For it is laid waste, So that there is no house, no harbor; From the land of Cyprus it is revealed to them.

The succeeding verse indicates otherwise. You should be more honest Keras and stop pulling verses out of context. Ezekiel 7:15 New King James Version (NKJV) 15 The sword is outside, And the pestilence and famine within. Whoever is in the field Will die by the sword; And whoever is in the city, Famine and pestilence will devour him. You are clearly unfit without the credentials to be a teacher. No, we're both wrong. Tarshish is Spain. For some reason, I was thinking Tyre when I wrote that. Tyre is in Lebanon. Josephus ("Ant." i. 6, § 1), apparently reading "Tarshush," identifies it with Tarsus in Cilicia. This identification was adopted by Bunsen and Sayce ("Expository Times," 1902, p. 179); but it seems from Assyrian inscriptions that the original Hebrew name of Tarsus was not "Tarshush." Bochart (in his "Phaleg"), followed by many later scholars, identifies Tarshish with Tartessus, mentioned by Herodotus and Strabo as a district of southern Spain; he thinks, moreover, that "Tartessus" is the Aramaic form of "Tarshish." On the other hand, Le Page Renouf ("Proc. Soc. Bibl. Arch." xvi. 104 et seq.) refutes this theory, declaring besides that Tartessus never really existed. Renouf's opinion is that "Tarshish" means a coast, and, as the word occurs frequently in connection with Tyre, the Phenician coast is to be understood. Cheyne (in "Orientalische Litteraturzeitung," iii. 151) thinks that "Tarshish" of Gen. x. 4, and "Tiras" of Gen. x. 2, are really two names of one nation derived from two different sources, and might indicate the Tyrsenians or Etruscans. Thus the name may denote Italy or the European coasts west of Greece. http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/14254-tarshish

Psalm 50 I believe is thrilling about pre-trib rapture
Psalms37:4 replied to Mary8's topic in Prophecy
I think this is good stuff Mary8. Thank you for sharing. -
Keras, why don't you settle down, take a deep breath and think for a minute. How in the world can you have a one world government when the world is at war? A OWG can only exist when the world is in unity and harmony living peacefully united under one ruler serving one government. How can you get a OWG when the world will be at war during the entire tribulation? How can you get a OWG when the a/c with his army will wage war against many countries, conquering and to conquer? The only time a OWG can possibly exist would be when Christ reigns on earth and peacefully unite all countries to live together serving God.

No, not the first 7 years of the millennium but sometime in the early years after the tribulation. If you study OT prophecies on when the gathering after the tribulation begins, it's not as "immediate" as Matthew 24 made it sound. Mark and Luke's discourse doesn't use the word immediate either. In the OT, it's revealed the gathering takes place many months to a year after the tribulation. Once all of God's people return to Israel, we rebuilt first before gathering all the weapons to use as firewood. This could be years away. It's impossible Gog and Magog can take place anytime before Israel signs "the" peace treaty. Ezekiel 38:11 mentions Israel at such peace, that all the walls around Jerusalem and other cities have been removed. No bar, no gate, no walls. They're living at such safety making Ezekiel 38 impossible to happen anytime just before the tribulation. Israel today is no way remotely close to Ezekiel 38:11. Ezekiel 38:11 New King James Version (NKJV) 11 You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— Look what else it said in Ezekiel 38:13. Sheba and Dedan are the various people of Saudi Arabia. They're there conducting businesses in Jerusalem. Tarshish is also there conducting business. Tarshish is Lebanon. Israel is about to go to war with Lebanon as well as many others. There's no way Ezekiel 38 is before the tribulation unless Israel is at peace with Lebanon, which they're NOT. Ezekiel 38:13 New King James Version (NKJV) 13 Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”’ It's also impossible Ezekiel 38 can happen anytime in the first half of the tribulation because Israel will be at peace. Israel doesn't get invaded till the midpoint at the AoD. And after the AoD, Jerusalem is destroyed, no more Jerusalem. So during the rest of the second half of the tribulation, it's illogical that Ezekiel 38 can occur. The only time Jerusalem gets invaded by the a/c as mentioned in the bible is in the middle of the tribulation.

Here, read this. Don't freak out now. There's a lot of scriptures posted. http://www.cpals.net/forums/index.php?/topic/18398-scriptures-on-the-pre-tribulation-rapture/ This is what 2 Thess 2:1 said. You're clearly pushing something that's not there. In other words, you're attempting to trump God's word with your own opinion. 2 Thessalonians 2:1 New King James Version (NKJV) Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,

Psalm 50 I believe is thrilling about pre-trib rapture
Psalms37:4 replied to Mary8's topic in Prophecy
Did you try reading the OP first? One of the verse she posted is John 14:3. This is clearly not a post trib verse as the highest your rapture view can go up is to the air follow by a U-turn in the sky. John 14:3 New King James Version (NKJV) 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. If that's so, how did Martha knew when the last day would occur if bible prophecies in the NT was not written till sometime after Christ passed away? Christ revealed the Olivet Discourse only to His disciples privately and no one else. John 11:24 New King James Version (NKJV) 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” -
LOL! I'm enjoying every minute of this. It's not obtuse Last Daze, I'm deliberately ignoring your arguments on different topics. You tried to be a wise guy with me using Revelation 11:10 to refute my first post I wrote on the first page. I'm just throwing back at you the same verse you threw at me. No offense brother. Peace!

Aww well I didn't know about him either till 3 years ago so his name is still fairly new to me too.
