  1. Jesus created the Sabbath to benefit man, not only in this world but also in the world to come. Sabbath merely means rest and it points to the time when Jesus will give the whole earth rest (Lord knows we need it). Observing the Sabbath shows that you are a believer, desiring to enter into God's rest. "...And his rest shall be glorious" (Isaiah 11:10). Many people will not enter into God's rest because of unbelief (Hebrews 3:18-19). Paul warns us to take heed that we are not shut out from this rest. "Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief" (Hebrews 4:11). Many teach that we don't have to do any works since Jesus died, but labor is work. Obeying God's commandments, which includes honoring his Sabbath day, is our reasonable service. The seventh day (Sabbath) will not be fulfilled until man enters into God's rest. "For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, if they shall enter into my rest, seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein..." (Hebrews 4:4-6). How will we enter into God's rest? Well one day to the Lord is equal to a thousand years to man (II Peter 3:8 and Psalms 90:4). Therefore, just as God worked six days and rested on the Sabbath, man must work six thousand years and rest a thousand years. This is how we will enter into the Lord's rest. This is why we all should honor the seventh day. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection...and shall reign with him a thousand years" (Revelation 20:6). Why will these saints rule with Jesus for exactly one thousand years? To fulfill the Sabbath day, and what a blessing it will be! Since the fall of Adam almost six thousand years ago man has been on a terrible downward spiral. See, this is the love I'm trying to get you guys to understand. The Sabbath day we do today, it's for tomorrow, if understand what I means.
  2. I'm not going drop to that Level because I come with love and understanding. Let's go into (1Peter 1:15-17) (v.15) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all Manner of conversation; (v.16) Because it is written, BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY. (V.17) And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: It says you had better be holy, because God is holy. And it also says that ye call on the Father, but you had better remember that he is going to without respect of person judge every man according to his work. So you better pass your time here on earth in fear.
  3. Lol...But guess what Jesus said in Matthew 19: 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Understand brothers and sisters that the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week, is included in the commandments as well.
  4. There is no us it's really only you, of course I know know your sidekicks who believe the same way you think. First I didn't show anything, now it's about details, then you post I already know that, so do what you know, then you would have real questions to ask concerning the Sabbath day. Truth is, you don't believe and or understand what you read out the Bible. Now I have to correct some of your post, which is proof you don't believe in keeping the Sabbath day so why keep asking or maybe deep down inside you , you know I'm right! Many people will not enter into God's rest because of unbelief (Hebrews 3:18-19). Paul warns us to take heed that we are not shut out from this rest. "Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief" (Hebrews 4:11). "For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, if they shall enter into my rest, seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein..." (Hebrews 4:4-6). Let's read with understanding what Paul says in (Gal. 3:1, 13, 16-17, 19, 24) (v.1) O FOOLISH Ga-la’-tians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? (v.13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, CURSED IS EVERYONE THAT HANGETH ON A TREE: What law is this talking about? Let the bible speak for itself. (v.16) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of One, AND TO THY SEED, which is Christ. (v.17) And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. Now pay attention, the law that is being spoken of here came four hundred and thirty years after this covenant. But God’s holy commandments have been around forever even before man was created. Remember that Satan was kicked out of heaven because iniquity (sin) was found in him. And what is sin? The transgression of the law (commandments). (v.19) Wherefore then serveth the law? A question is being asked here. Then why should we serve this law? It was added because of transgression, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; the law that we are talking about here was added because of sin. But we now know that sin is the transgression of the law. How do you add a law if sin is the transgression of the law? Because there are two sets of laws, you have God’s holy commandments which abided forever, and you had the animal sacrificial law which was added because of sin, but it was only good until the seed should come to whom the promise was made, and that seed was Jesus. (v.24) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. This animal sacrificial law was only a schoolmaster. And this schoolmaster taught you that when you sinned in ignorance blood had to be shed (an animal sacrificed). But Christ being the ultimate sacrifice shed his precious blood once and for all, and by doing this putting an end to the animal sacrificial law. If you are following all of the writing of Paul, then you will find out that you are following Jesus, and if you are truly following Jesus then you are following the law of God.
  5. I just teach the uncut word of God, I'm not judging anybody, people do what they will. Do understand what I'm saying! I have no kingdom to put anybody in or out.
  6. I didn't say I can't explain it, of course I will. But i have to explain using the Bible, they want me to use my own words. If we all have a Bible then people should want to know from the Bible, not me.
  7. You speaking foolish. You want me say I don't work on the sabbath day the seventh day of the week, instead of saying in Exodus 23:12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. The seventh day begins Friday at evening, instead of, midnight Friday; thus, the seventh day is sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. So the beginning of Sunday starts Saturday sundown. However it is important that we understand that the Lord begins the day with the evening, "And God called the light day, and the darkness was called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." (Gen 1:5). Man begins the day at 12:01 am, so, there is about a six hour difference from sundown (beginning of the day) to midnight. You afraid to ask me question because people will then see you don't really know the Bible. That why you have to continue saying I'm not actually keeping the Sabbath. No matter what I say, what I post from the Bible, you going to have a problem with it, and will respond negatively with no scriptures or verses from the Bible...what the point?
  8. I don't think you really understanding when I say you can't look at it personal. Everything that is made comes with a set of instructions. Whether it is home appliances, toys, automobiles, pet accessories, clothing, food, etc. Man is no different. Man was created by God and given an instruction manual, that if read and followed carefully, he would be able to make the best of his life given him on earth. Man's instruction manual is called the Bible. With that established, let me say that any knowledge that man has of God he got it out of the Bible. All preachers preach, or teach their congregations from the Bible. If you really look close, you will see that all of man's laws have the Ten Commandments as their foundation. Now before we go any further, let's establish this very important point. "Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2 Peter 1:20-21) Also, let me show you that God's word is contained in a book. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success". (Joshua 1:8) "Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read". I agree that anyone can quote the Bible, but not anyone can quote the Bible According to knowledge, understanding and wisdom. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2Timothy 3:16-17)
  9. Not true according to scriptures and verses. If you like we can reason together.
  10. I can't tell people with my own words how I personally keep the Sabbath day. I have to teach people through the scriptures and verses how the sabbath day is to be kept, according to the Bible, not me. When it comes to the word of God is a whole different ball game. Now you have to make up your mind if you want to learn or not. This is why when you go back and read many post of mine I use scriptures and verses, let's read something interesting Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Last book of the Bible, all the way to the end, it shows that the commandments are still being kept to this day. The yoke wasn't talking about the Gentile keeping the Sabbath day, Apostle Paul understood this he knew and kept Gods law including the seventh day sabbath. Now lets take a look at; (Acts 13:13-15, 42, 44) (v.13) Now when Paul and his company loosed from Pa’-phus, they came to Per’-ga in Pam-phyl’-I-a: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. (v.14) But when they departed from Per’-ga, they came to An’-ti-och in Pi-sid’-I-a, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. Paul went into the church (synagogue) on the sabbath day the seventh day not the first day (Sunday). (v.15) And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. (v.42) And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. The Gentiles didn’t asked Paul to come preach us something different next Sunday or any other day. They wanted Paul to preach to them the same thing that he taught the Jews, the next sabbath. Even the Gentiles knew that if they were going to serve the same God that Paul and the Jews (Israelites) served that they would have to serve him on the day that God had set up. (v.42) And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Not the next Sunday but the next sabbath. Pay close attention... Paul said in (Rom. 3:23-25) (v.23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (v.24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (v.25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. So the bible tells you to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus. And by doing so you come up under his precious blood and then you are saved from your sins that are past, not present or future sins but for sins that are past. We were all locked under death by Adam’s sin, even the second death. But when Jesus became (he was God in the beginning) man and died for the sins of the world, he gave us access back to the tree of life (himself) which Adam had caused us to lose. That’s what grace is, our free gift our access back to the tree of life but that’s another lesson for another time. So by coming under the blood of Jesus you are saved from your past sins. And if you are saved now, it is on a day to day basis. Because all have sinned, and if you continue to live you will sin again. It is the willful sinning that you need to put in check.
  11. Those who read my post concerning your question can see that I clearly answer it. If you ask a person a question and you don't like the answer or believe the answer, why would you keep asking? Or wouldn't a thought come to your mind, and say maybe I need to ask a different question. If your heart if fix on not believing anything I respond to, then what's the purpose? This is the proper way you should of ask me about keeping the sabbath day. Bro.Tan, how do we suppose to keep the sabbath day on the seventh day of the week according to the Bible. You could of ask about the Temple, or about the animal sacrificial laws, or where did Sunday come. Then we could of reason together with the Bible, with the word of God. Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. Now people see that I answer you and this is how you respond to me.
  12. I understand what you believe, but you ignore the question, and went right into your thoughts with not one Bible scripture or verse.
  13. I don't have a personal way that I keep the Sabbath, it doesn't work that way, when dealing with the Lord. I'm a Bible christian, which means I don't do things my way, I have no personal way. Everything you or I need to know about God is written in the book (Bible). If you have a question concerning the Sabbath day itself, I'll do my best to find it the answer in the Bible. You use the word personal, which is no such thing, because I or you didn't write the Bible. Personal to me is you asking me what color shoes I'm wearing next Sabbath, or coat, etc. You have to ask me a pacific questions concerning the sabbath day for me to understand whats going on in your mind. Now I see one thing you asking about, which is the animal sacrifices. I explain to you that in another post in Hebrews 10 Ch. The animal sacrificial laws and the priesthood laws are nail to the cross, we don't do them. Bible says no work on the sabbath, no pleasures on the sabbath day, the Bible speaks of the Sabbath day being a Holy Day...let me just quote the scripture in Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
  14. Ok...when you have time, we can let the Bible speak.
  15. I don't believe the other person is trying to get understanding, just looking for a quick reason to point the finger, and say...see, see...lol. The bible stresses that we should be followers of Christ. It also forbids us to make up and follow our own traditions. Jesus made a practice of observing the Sabbath day. "And as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day..." (Luke 4:16). If someone is in need on the Sabbath, we as servants of God are not to ignore them. Jesus said, "...it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days" (Matthew 12:12). If a special need arises on the Sabbath day we are allowed to handle it. Just as Jesus healed people and spoke of pulling an ox out of a well on the Sabbath. Doing what's necessary on the Sabbath does not do away with it. If you have to work on the sabbath day, then you have to do what you have to do, but if your heart is really with the Lord, he'll make a way. We living in a world where things are upside down, so it maybe a little tuff in the beginning. The Sabbath was made to benefit man and not be a hindrance, "...The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:" (Mark 2:27). Furthermore, Jesus informed us that he is Lord of the Sabbath, which proves he instituted it (Mark 2:28).
  16. The bible stresses that we should be followers of Christ. It also forbids us to make up and follow our own traditions. Jesus made a practice of observing the Sabbath day. "And as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day..." (Luke 4:16). A true follower of Christ will honor the seventh day, just as Jesus did. Although Jesus honored the Sabbath, many people attempt to use his compassion to do away with it. If someone is in need on the Sabbath, we as servants of God are not to ignore them. Jesus said, "...it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days" (Matthew 12:12). Common sense lets us know that if a special need arises on the Sabbath day we are allowed to handle it. Just as Jesus healed people and spoke of pulling an ox out of a well on the Sabbath. Doing what's necessary on the Sabbath does not do away with it. The Sabbath was made to benefit man and not be a hindrance, "...The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:" (Mark 2:27).
  17. Therefore, God's Sabbath is for everybody to observe, "Also, the sons of the stranger (non-Israelite), that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, everyone that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it...even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer..." (Isaiah 56:6-7). So just as any and everyone will get punished for breaking the Sabbath, any and everyone will get blessed for observing it. During the days of the apostles the Gentiles recognized that they had to observe the seventh day Sabbath. "And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath day" (Acts 13:42). These people did not try to come up with their own Sabbath, but instead honored the Lord's Sabbath which he had given to Israel. Later, Paul not only persuaded the Jews, but the Greeks also "every Sabbath" (Acts 18:4). Therefore, the apostles and the newly converted Gentiles all observed the seventh day Sabbath. As we have already pointed out it was not until the 4th Century A.D. that the Gentiles changed the Sabbath to Sunday. However, if the Sabbath had changed after the resurrection of Jesus, Paul and those who were first called Christians would not have continued to observe it. "And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures" (Acts 17:2). In all the traveling that Paul did he still found time to keep the Sabbath and other holy days. Some attempt to twist the scriptures (woe unto them) to support their theory that the Sabbath changed. Paul's preaching, breaking bread, and gathering collections on the first day does not change the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Lets take a look in Acts 20: 6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days. Notice, Paul kept the Holy Highs Days, the feast of unleavened Bread, which is still good this day. 7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. 8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. Notice, it was upon the first day of the week, which means Paul was preaching on the seventh day (Saturday) and the day went into the first day of the week. Now lets see if the Sabbath day change in I Corinthians 16: 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. In fact, its looking like Paul saying there be no gathering when I come. This is not a good verse to use to change the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week.
  18. What Jesus didn't rise on Sunday and I can prove it, more then once in the Bible, are you then going to keep the sabbath day on the seventh day of the week as written?
  19. Ok...heres another example in Luke 13: 14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. 15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? Another words its ok to do good works on the sabbath day.
  20. You don't need to continue asking question to answers that are written the Bible, your answers are in the Bible! If you keep the first day of the week, (Sunday) which is not in the Bible to keep, how are you doing that? Where is any example in the Bible concerning the sabbath day on the first day of the week. In the scriptures it's written in Proverbs 24:7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.
  21. If you can find some verses or scriptures in the Bible about what you saying, maybe I can understand where you getting your thoughts from.
  22. Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3, 10-14) is the one who rested on the Sabbath day and commanded that you do the same. If you really understood the scriptures you would realize that He was the one who became known as Jesus who gave you the Ten Commandments. So not only did He command you to cease from your work on that day He also commanded you to. (Lev.23:3) “Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;” He said on the Sabbath day that you should also have an holy convocation, which means holy gathering or simply put, go to church. Jesus made it clear that the seventh day was made for mankind. (Mark 2:27-28) (v.27) And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath: Do we understand that, the Sabbath was made for us, not us for the Sabbath. (v.28) Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath. The Son of man (Jesus) is the Lord God of the seventh day Sabbath (Saturday). (Ex.31:16-17) (v.16) Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. (v.17) It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. You see that the Sabbath day is a sign between God and His people forever. Israel was His people then and whoever chooses to obey Him now are His people. God intended for the weekly Sabbath (this word means rest in Hebrew) to be a refreshing blessing for mankind. God knew that human beings would need periodic rest and change from work. But the purpose for keeping God's Sabbath goes far beyond simply resting on that day.
