I just caught your new avatar and was wondering if it was intended to show that you are listening as we definitely have your ear.... Gary Haha...actually my husband took that when I was fiddling with the settings on my camera...I just happen to like it and currently use it as my 'gravatar' for all things google I do like to change my avatar now and then Me too... now you see me,...and now you don't .... But, I will post an updated photo soon. ...maybe, me wrestling an aligator...LOL...this avatar is not a year old, yet.

Meanwhile, please show me scripturally where God has commanded us to make Government our Idol or to bow down and worship it. I was only referring to the many that have to depend on (Governmental) food stamps, and the food banks as their source , to put food in their hungry stomachs. There were no Government support in biblical times. I think God instilled in our hearts to be givers . But, for some rich people , they are greedy and ...they cannot take it with them when they leave this earth. I may have not explained fully ... Bro. ...

I'm going to have to agree with that, Dave. Something like a drought can't be controlled by the government. A Christian HAS to rely on God first and then self. Grow a little garden, eat canned tuna and chicken, learn to eat less.....it's what our grandparents did during the Depression of the 1930s. And that was in other countries too, not just the U.S. Yep... grow a garden and have a small farm . Just like the old days ...my parents had to do that. When daddy didn't earn enough , when he didn't catch enough shrimp to sell.

LOL Anyway ...I am glad I am not catholic anymore. ... The sign is with-in ( the Holy Spirit)... and not an outward sign.

I learned the 10 commandments in religion classes as a Catholic. I had to memorize them.....over and over again. I did good because , I made my big communion.( a catholic order) To finished religion classes at Church. We had ceremony in church for that... going up to the alter to have a blessing and certificate by the Bishop. when I went up for it ...the Bishop slapped me on my face. Written on my heart and mind.... are Gods' commandments. I try to keep them...LOL

Canonized is a word that Catholics use. Canonized means to be approved ...by the Bishop or Pope. Most Christian books ..novels, etc. does not need to be catholic approved. By the way the King James Bible is the closest to the original ...so I have learned. In the Catholic Bible there is no mention of Gods' name ...Jehovah. Only Yehweh...meaning Father. I use to be a devote catholic most my life til a few years ago. I learned a lot of truth about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit through the non-denominational church. God wants to have a relationship with His children. The Catholic church to me... made me believe that God was very distant and unreachable. I did not think that I could have a personal relationship with our Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit...as I do now. Thank you , Lord.

I sometime pray or talking to God ...when I am walking in a parking lot, mall, or store. What I am not to do that anymore ? This country is getting rediculous with their laws...especially for praying.

Horse and buggy rides... on the brick streets. Much to see around the River Walk... Shopping in the area... plus the River-boat ride ...with dinner and dancing. Cafe'de Monde' ...for coffee and beignets...(out-door cafe). Street evangelist would hand out tracs of Jesus... in all that square area of the French Quarters...but, not anymore. Why change that ?

Just this week they released an innocent man about 40 ish... he was on death row and in the pen for years. For raping and killing a young woman. They found out she was not raped and through DNA... he was not the murderer. That is so sad...for him. He probably can sue. Don't know.

I never thought that it would ever come to this . People being arrested for praying out doors. Praying for individuals' freedom to choose...(our rights).
