  1. Mark 4:10 "And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them." Acts 28:25 "And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,26Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:27For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.28Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it." Isaiah 6:10 "Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."
  2. Genesis 20:12 "And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife." Sarah was Abrahams half sister through his father. OP it was a different time frame.
  3. With love.
  4. He isnt the first to claim he is Jesus Charles Manson made that claim too. Theres a guy saying he is Jesus and making all his followers get 666 tattoos but I cant remember his name or whereabouts but hes on youtube as well. Im not surprised and Gary already posted why.
  5. My goodness! You make it sound as though the Inquisition is still happening today. You haven't forgotten it? So, where were you when Jesus taught you about love and forgiveness of the enemy.....since you obviously see Catholics as your enemy. Im talking about catholicism not catholics. Ideologies not adherents. Its not my fault that people believe lies. Ive believed lots of lies like I love you or I wouldnt do anything to hurt you; you know, stuff people say when they want to manipulate you. I believed in all sorts of magical creatures like santa claus and the easter bunny but I grew up became disillusioned and realised that if everyone can conspire about something as retarded as a man hopping down chimneys the rabbit hole must go much deeper. I left nothing unscathed. The only man whom Ive studied from who made absolute sense is Jesus. Sorry but all the denominations Ive burned through are strawmen in a field of crow. Every institution of man is crooked. Life is that terrible. All anyone needs from the Bible is the red lettering to perfect the work but in order to understand the ins an outs you have to go cover to cover several times and than several more. While you study mens doctrines I found proof against them in the Bible. It pays to be faithful to one Master.
  6. Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." Thats what Jesus says about peace on earth. I havent forgotten the inquisition: John 16:2 "They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." Catholicism has proven itself by its works. Dont blame me for telling the truth and say Im not loving or Christ like. I care enough to be honest even though I know it wont be well received.
  7. 1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." Thats part of ny thoughts about catholischism.
  8. Havent seen it but theres plenty of debate about it online. From what Ive read David Icke is one of the guest speakers. Ive wasted some time reading through his conspiracy theories and its too annoying seperating fact from fiction with his notions so I didnt bother with Thrive.
  9. Thats called projection is psychology.

  11. Matthew 7:12 "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."
  12. Matthew 6:22 "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." Matthew 7:5 "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Matthew 9:13 "But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Matthew 18:23 "Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses."

    Dispensationalism

Youre welcome. I agree, there is so much to the Bible that if we were to all post everything we know the internet would crash. lol
  15. Yeah I dont get that either. I know between translations there are differences but nothing which would support any of those claims. Linking verbs and punctiation is added to make the text readable and some versions use different connotations of the same term but thats not grounds for error within the Bible. I cant see how anyone would think they could find support from the Bible for homosexuality or aborticide. Carnal minds. The secular world provides them with support I dont know why that wouldnt be an indicator that alls not well with their notions.

    Dispensationalism

Sorry brother I hadnt read your post. As far as Daniels seventieth week I agree it followed the sixtyninth week and I dont espouse a rapture considering many prophets, Christ, the apostles, and countless saints have been martyred and theres the matter of filling the cup double measure as Revelation laid out besides the fact the term isnt even in the Bible. The heavens still need to disappear, and the elements have to burn with fervent heat, as well as the earth and the works therein, so there are definitely some things to take place in the near future… well, near according to Gods reckoning. I really dont study doctrinal theories so I have no clue the finer points of dispensationalism, preterism, futurism, whatever other isms, all I know is whatever people present at whichever time and I see if it lines up with scripture. Ive found there are many partial truths in these isms so I dont rule anything out until I have refutation unless I find its verifiable then I rule it in. Let God be true and every man a liar is pretty much my rule of thumb and its not to be rude to anyone but I was raised catholic. I appreciate that God used catholicism to teach me of Jesus since I can first remember but I began reading at a young age and the priests and nuns didnt like my questions. Words like heresy and excommunication became a part of my vocabulary and I never made it to confirmation. I have a healthy distrust of man when it comes to interpreting the Bible. A little background info bout little ol' me.

    Dispensationalism

Based on this verse, I wonder if Genesis 1 is a recap of what happened, some time after the very beginning. When Adam and Eve were joined in marriage they had no parents to leave. Eve wasnt named Eve by the male until after theyd eaten the fruit; both the male and female are Adam, which is important and overlooked by pretty much everyone. Genesis 5:2 "Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created." Adam is the son of God so indeed they had parentage to leave. Luke 3:38 "Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." Moses wrote the pentateuch: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Numbers.
  18. Butero this thread is almost nine years old brother. I havent seen any of these handles on recent posts since Ive come to the forum. Check the dates because some of these threads are old enough for middle school.

    Dispensationalism

Gary, my brother, could you cited scripture for your 'one day paradise' hypothesis. Gladly Monarchy, it isn't something that can be understood through a simple 'proof text' though, it must be seen within the context as it develops in the first three chapters of Genesis. Here is a post I did at another forum on the topic Well put together. I never really tried to line it up in that fashion I figured because there was no mention of the day passing that it was on the sixth day Adam both male and female fell. Thank you for sharing.

    Those Trees!

ets: tree daath: knowledge towb: good ra: evil Definitely the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
  21. Youre right brother. Theres enough to bear with the gravity of our lives without having to deal with the psychotic confusion of the deluded. I laugh at the confusion myself because there are far more important things then angels moonwalking, witches placing football bets, and multicolor bearded false prophets, but somehow if its audacious enough it becomes a conversation piece. The humor veils the pain. My tears are of no consolation but they do fall as Im praying for your mother in law, your wife, your friend Anthony, and for you. God bless you brother.
  22. So overlook that flesh and blood cannot receive the Kingdom of God and overlook that a seed doesnt have the same body. This next verse is standalone: 1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
  23. Your missing some scripture here. Find it. Though Im not kdb4747 I know the scripture you seek: 1 Corinthians 15:44 "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body."
  24. Monarchy I mean you no disrespect but the man is your brother: Matthew 23:9 "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." The focus of edification is to instruct and guide in whats proper on the straight and narrow path. I dont like scare tactics. God didnt tell us about hell so we should fear condemnation He warned us so that we seek salvation and surely we will find it. He warns us against sin so that we neednt suffer His wrath. He doesnt want anyone to die: 2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." I know you love your brother and his word carries weight with you but noone who believes in Jesus will be ashamed: Romans 9:33 "As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." I dont know your circumstance in this matter but I know if you have the sense to fear eternal damnation you have a repentant spirit and God will redeem you. Confess to Him your sins, whatever they me be, and trust that God will not test you beyond what you can bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." Ive written much so I will end here on this note: God loves you as do the brethren and I.
  25. If you cant see that the mob being made blind was in context to the fact that Lot said do what is good in your eyes nothing I write will make it apparent.
