Why would Noah assume that he would get any useful information from releasing the birds, or was he just bored? Why did he think they would come back? They could have just hung out on the mountain he was stuck on.

@Starise Thank you very much, My ideas are much same as yours. Like I said earlier this is research for a book and it is field that is hard to get information on. I am not interested in demons (evil spirits) other than I have a need to explain them in some definitive way. My book is on the book of Genesis, and these entities are part of the book of Genesis.

it's research for a book, I am just trying to see if the different names for things have any meaning. The Bible mentions all of these entities in a way that implies the reader understands what they are, but I don't think we do know why different words are used. It is a small detail in the book, but I would like to get it right.

I am wondering what other people think of the differences of the unholy supernatural beings. I have my own ideas, but I am looking for how other people think about it. Fallen angels: What are they now? Did they become demons, or are they locked away in chains? Demons: If not fallen angels, then what are they? Evil Spirits: Where did they come from, were they part of the fall from Heaven? Are they Demons or something else? Lucifer: Is he a Fallen angel? Is he the enemy, does he lead the other evil spirits/demons? The Satan: Same as Lucifer or some kind of center of evil that compels them all? The Enemy, The Devil: Where does these terms fit? How do they work together to get anything done? That's a lot of questions, any thoughts will be appreciated.

Sure that will be the end result, all of us in our places, but I enjoy talking to people with different beliefs. I am very good at it and I have had more than a decade of enjoying what I considered a ministry. As I said in the original post, I just wanted to have a moan about something I was frustrated with.

If there is a fire in theater and you don't yell fire you would also be breaking the law. The things you mentioned are illegal activities, cussing (community decency laws) Yelling fire (inciting panic). Talking about bombs in airports or planes (Against Federal transport laws). But the point of the OP is not instances where there are laws being broken, rather when people are silenced when they support the wrong ideology. People are being silenced on social media for wrong think. That is the issue. I am not disputing that owners of social media may set the rules on what is allowed. But they have not said that making strong points for the Republicans is banned, yet we see accounts being removed for exactly that. They have not turned specifically against Christians, but the time to fight for clarity is now.

No I am not talking about a country, I am talking about some forums I have been involved with. I am definitely not talking about Worthy though. I don't think it matters what forums I have been talking about, One for example was a forum for expats. It used to be a place for interesting exchanges, and strong opinions now it is a progressive echo chamber. The point is that i have noticed a marked intolerance of conservative opinions, and especially in the last 3 months.

No, I am talking about replies to threads of various subjects, not threads I started myself. It would make little sense to dig them up. I was just feeling frustrated and started this thread here thinking it was likely a shared experience. It is not the content of my posts that is the issue, but how the tide has turned. I believe that the free exchange of ideas id the best practice for society, even if some if those ideas are uncomfortable. It seems that advocating for morality or truth has become the uncomfortable ideas. I need to remember God is in control. Perhaps it is best that evil come fully into the open so it can be known for what it is and people will seek righteousness instead.

I think the Book of Enoch is interesting because it expands on the events of Gen 6. Clearly some things in the Book of Enoch are very wrong. But I do believe we are coming in to a time where what occurred in Gen 6, will become very important. There seems to be something that occurred In Gen 6 that involved the alteration of DNA and the creation of hybrids. Irredeemable hybrids at that. That angels are not given in marriage does not mean that fallen angels were not perverted, or able to assume human forms. Or have some other dark art available to them. The Book of Enoch is not scripture but it has historical and contextual value.

For the last 15 years or so I have spent a lot of time in good natured exchanges on the internet in various fora. This year has been very difficult as there is now so little tolerance now for opposing views. My favorite forum now deletes more of my posts than they allow, And I recently got a 5 day suspension for the crime of being wrong, despite having a source. Source was unapproved. I had both a challenging pass time, and an excellent opportunity to witness and open eyes. Now that is all gone. I guess I just felt like having a bit of a moan about it, I'll be all right, But I am somewhat depressed about the state of our freedoms. How did it come to be that the liberals are the ones who can't stand freedom of expression.

Thanks, this is what I was thinking. I am trying to write a more fleshed out version of the flood. The covering had me confused, It was important enough to make it into the Bible, But it wasn't explained what it was. A covering for the air and light holes makes sense to me. Not sure why Noah needed to remove it, unless he needed it to make some tents.
