      Rev 5:8  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. Rev 8:3  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. Rev 8:4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

      Wow - I think there is something to "counteracting unpleasant odors" - I'd not thought about the incence in this way, but man does have the stench of death about him...

      Heb 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,  Heb 10:20  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;  It think the flesh separates us from the presence of God. Christ descended to take on flesh and when the veil is remove one can see the glory of God.

      Beautiful post and replies, all gloryfiying the Lord and what provision is made for salavation for all men and  who would accept the offering and sacrifice that was made.  Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin [ Not of bulls of goat but of Christ ]. Hebrews 9:14-15      Amplified Bible, Classic Edition 14 How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who [b]by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent [c]divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?  15[Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament,covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance—since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement.
